Description
|
This amazing cottage is built very close to the lake, which provides a stunningly panoramic view of Big Hawk Lake. The cottage is reminiscent of days gone by when cottages were cozy and comfortable, a place to go to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a traditional cottage without all the high tech and modern gadgets.
The shoreline is rocky with deep water entry off the dock making this property ideal for a family that swims. The water is clean and crystal clear with a hard sand bottom. Big Hawk Lake and Little Hawk Lake are connected and navigable.
There is a small convenience store at Big Hawk Lake Marina and fine dining at Little Hawk Lake Marina. Boat rentals are available at both marinas.
And don't forget your fishing gear. There is great fishing right from the dock.

There is limited cell service and there is a land line (rotary dial); no internet access.

Equipments:
The comfortable living room comes complete with queen size bed chesterfield, chairs, wood burning stove, TV with DVD/VCR player and stereo radio with CD player. There are plenty of games and videos for all. The well equipped kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and water cooler. Just off the living room is a dining area to seat six. There are three bedrooms to sleep six in 2 doubles, a set of single bunks and a sofa bed, if needed. The cottage also comes with a three piece bathroom with stand up shower. The extensive deck really extends the living and dining area and is furnished with chairs, table and umbrella as well as a new propane barbeque, deck swing, chaise loungers and chiminea. The main stair well can be gated for the young ones. The cottage is elevated from the waterfront and is accessed by stairs to a large shore deck and dock, equipped with table and chairs. The cottage comes with a row boat and canoe for your water enjoyment.

Location Information: Traditional family cottage set on beautiful Big Hawk Lake. Located on a private road, backing onto Crown Land. Superb walking, hiking and canoeing trails. Terrific swimming, skiing, boating and sailing. Fishing second to none. About 2.5 hrs from Toronto and 3.5 hrs from Ottawa. This cottage is situate about 15 minutes to Carnarvon and 25 minutes to either Minden or Dorset, where there are many shops, food stores, hardware, restaurants, gas stations, LCBO/Beer Store etc for your convenience
