4 Season Retreat... Get away from it all! Relax, drop your usual commitments as you marvel at the panoramic lake view of both Pelee and Rondeau Parks.
We are called Healing Waters because our land, our air, and water are life-giving and regenerating as eden. Those who are looking to slow down can unwinding in a hammock under a tree, frolic in the surf and sand, and BBQ fresh fish you've caught off our shore. We provide indoor and outdoor toys to keep children and grandchildren's imaginations active too.
Toast marshmallows around the open campfire and be lulled by the lapping of the lake, while the brilliance of the night sky takes your breath away. Some find the splash pad, playground, free Sunday concerts, and ice cream parlours of Wheatley to be their major trips.
We are Canada's sun parlour, on Lake Erie, at the same latitude as Rome and northern California. Take 500 steps down our quiet, private road to Wheatley Provincial Park. Explore the Carolinian forest walking and hiking their trails and biking their paved roadways, as you marvel at the greens of the flora, and the varieties of the migrating birds. Turtles sun on logs and herons wade in the shallow creeks. Canoe their secluded estuary. A 9 hole Golf course is down the road, and Wheatley boat launch minutes away.
Like Birding, Hiking and Fishing? Within short drive of Hillman Marsh, Point Pelee, Wheatley Harbour with boat launch, Two Creeks Conservation area and Kopegaron Woods. Excellent perch, pickerel and rainbow fishing - right off the beach or bring your boat.
Within a 25 minute radius:
Leamington boasts shopping districts, a wonderful cafe, a quaint downtown and the ferry dock offering a cruise back in time to a Pelee Island adventure;
take Point Pelee National Park's shuttle to Canada's southern-most point;
Colasanti's Tropical Gardens, for all ages, offers a petting farm, great food, unique shopping, bumper cars, mini-golf and more;
experience the story of Buxton, a last stop on the Underground Railroad for escaping U.S.A. slaves, which became the self-sustaining Black Elgin Settlement;
view one-of-a-kind classic and rare cars and watch restoration professionals at work;
explore the local winery route and pick up fresh fruit and vegetables from many local roadside stands.

Location Information: Just outside the fishing village of Wheatley, we are on a private road adjoining Wheatley Provincial Park and down the road from Talbot Trail Golf Course. Our home is located 15 minutes south of Tilbury, off the #401.

Non-refundable $200. deposit is required at booking.
Balance is due one month before arrival date, and it becomes non-refundable at that time.
Fully refundable security/cleaning deposit is $200., and is required with payment of balance.
We honour cheques and email money transfers. There is a fee of $25. for each Paypal payment.
During High Season our weekly rental is 3 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. the following Saturday. During Low Season there is some flexibility.
Renters must provide their own pillows. Please bring cell phone for emergency response purposes.
We thank you for leaving the cottage in the condition you found it... clean and tidy.
