On Popular Bass lake, (Check out the video virtual tour of the cottage and the lake at the bottom under owners website) this cozy 4 bedroom cottage is an ideal family cottage and the bunkie is great for providing the older kids with their own space. The bunkie interior is newly renovated. It has a bar fridge, microwave, bathroom, and provides sleeping for 3. The cottage is on an elevated property and the access to the lake is down a set of stairs. The interior is newly renovated and open concept. The master bedroom has a small balcony overlooking the lake providing a lovely view. The swimming is excellent off the dock where the water level is about 4-5 feet. It is also a short walk to the popular Bass Lake Restaurant. Lake Joseph is accross the road giving you access to the 3 large lakes of Muskoka (Joseph, Rosseau & Muskoka)
Exposure is east.
In winter, the ice rink makes for an ideal afternoon!!

Popular Bass Lake is one of the gems of Muskoka. The lake is great for all sorts of water activities including boating, canoeing, swiming, skiing, wakeboarding and kayaking.

We enjoyed our time at this cottage. Lots of space, good comfortable beds. The bunkie is a nice feature for separate privacy as well as an extra bathroom. The water is very clear and we enjoyed the time on the dock. We did find the cottage a bit cluttered and perhaps not as clean on arrival as we had hoped. The walkway down to the main dock is loose and resulted in one fall. Needs to be repaired. The lake while lovely is very small so may not be suitable for people looking for a bit more boating. Jeff was very responsive which was great. For this price linens and cleaning should be included in my experience. Thanks for letting us use your place.

We loved this cottage and the lake was fabulous!!
Our stay at Lakeside Chalet was very comfortable for kids and adults.
Well maintained grounds, cottage was clean and well kept.
Privacy was good too, on and off the water.
Would definitely stay here again.

Our experience at the Lakeside Chalet was fun and relaxing. We were able to comfortably bring our four adult children. Facilities and rooms terrific. Modern electronics were available to enjoy tv and music. The owner is very nice and helpful. We will definitely return.
