Staying at Seabourne exceeded our expectations. The spacious accommodations were perfect for our family. It is a fantastic oasis-by-the-bay surrounded by nature and the sea. We observed so many shore birds and birds of prey. Exploring the many coves at low tide was amazing, the intertidal zone is so rich in marine life. We even saw sea anemones under the wooden bridge linking Owl Head to the mainland. We enjoyed drinking our early morning coffee sitting on our master bedroom balcony overlooking Back Bay and eating supper while watching magnificent sunsets from the dinning room. Sally helped make our vacation perfect! We have been coming to Nova Scotia for 10 years. Seabourne is by far the nicest cottage we've rented. We hope to return.

Seabourne is a fantastic location. Close to Halifax, Peggy's Cove Lunenburg, Mohone Bay and Blue Rocks. The home is very well kept, clean and roomy. Three couples, with a total of three children filled the beds, but the space did not feel cramped. Parents- keep an eye on your kids down by the water, where they can spy seals, jelly fish, perrywinkles and seabirds.
Plan on heading to the farmer's market in both the Upper Tantallon (Tuesday) and Lunenburg (Thursday). Host is fantastic and available when needed.

Wow! Where do we even begin to tell you just how AMAZING our stay has been?! SO many laughs and good times were shared by all! Seabourne Cottage is overflowing with warmth and comfort. Sally was extremely attentive and caring towards us and our needs. One minor issue came up during our stay which was very quickly resolved. We were also able to enjoy some ?downtime? during our vacation. Relaxing and watching the sunbeams glistening off of the water in Seabourne's backyard was mesmerizing! The Spectacular views will be forever etched in our minds. Seeing the seals chilling on the rocks was the ?icing on the cake?. We already miss being there, but we will carry all the INCREDIBLE memories created with us in our Hearts. Hoping we can all visit here again in the near future!

We had the pleasure of staying at Seabourne cottage the first week of July following our daughter's wedding. The first thing to strike us were the beautiful views of the bay. Our morning coffee on the deck allowed us to be entertained by the birds, fish and seals and the sound of the waves was pure relaxation. The cottage is as spacious as described and had ample room for lounging and relaxing. It is well appointed and had everything we needed for a restful vacation. Sally was very helpful from the first call to arrange rental to staying in touch and checking in on us once we were settled and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The location is very private and quiet and an easy drive to Halifax, Peggy's Cove as well as Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg and many sand beaches. I highly recommend Seabourne!

Our family of five had the pleasure of staying at Seabourne Cottage for a glorious week while were were in town for our son's convocation from Dalhousie University.
From the first instant we drove up to the cottage in the dark, the sounds of the waves lapping at the rocks directly in front of the cottage had us all enchanted! The cottage is lovely, unique and eclectic; dormer windows, creaking old wood floor boards, comfortable beds and wonderful living areas all contributed to the welcoming ambience. Sally, the caretaker, was always a phone call away and checked on us once we had settled in. We explored the rocky shore directly out front, walked up the street to the bridge onto Owl's Head Island to the small sand beach there and spent many hours reading on the front decks over looking the ocean sipping wine (or having morning coffee!). Every morning at sun up, we watched lobster boats dropping their traps directly in-front of the cottage; and got a few pictures of lobsters being pulled out of those traps in the evenings!
The cottage is about 1 hour from Halifax, to which we made a few trips for sight-seeing and graduation. We also drove to Lunenburg (1 hour in the other direction) to sail, sight see etc. La Have ferry/bakery/pottery is a must see also. We also drove across to the Bay of Fundy to river run the tidal bore (very fun!) and visit William Lawrence museum (ship building)...
All in all, we would definitely return and stay at Seabourne Cottage!
