Our family (3 young kids, 4 adults and 2 seniors) had a wonderful week at Cedarstone and we simply can't say enough good things about this place.  The cottage was extremely spacious and so fully stocked with all the kitchenware and things such as oil, sugar, coffee, tea and etc that you really don't need to bring anything but clothes, kids' life jackets and food!.  The cottage was extremely clean as was the entire properly and well stocked such as with campfire wood, which we enjoyed almost every evening.  They even had sticks for roasting marshmallows and bug spray/candles!

Do not need to bring toys as the toy room was full with toys/puzzles/games.  Our kids loved the playroom along with the bunk bed.  They even had an exersaucer!  The beach area was perfect for our young kids as it was shallow with beach toys and chairs for the adults to sit back and relax.  The bay is very private and quiet so the water was never rough.

Rosanne and Drew are extremely organized and thought of everything with detailed instructions throughout the cottage.  They meet us warmly at check in and were very responsive to any questions that we had.  They were also quick to credit back the deposit. We loved this cottage and we would definitely stay here again!

The description does not due this cottage justice. The hosts have thought and prepared for everything leaving only time for relaxing.

We had a group vary in ages from 1.5 to 68 and everyone had the the vacation of their dreams, from a sandy beach to fishing, kayaking, canoeing or just relaxing around the huge dining table, everything was amazing. I can not thank The hosts enough for sharing this peace of heaven with our family and we will definitely be returning

We had a wonderful stay at Cedarstone Lakehouse. Rosanne and Drew could not have better anticipated our needs. They were very attentive hosts and there were plenty of things to keep the kids busy from games to toys to watercraft. The cottage itself was beautiful - clean, spacious, and well organized. As were the grounds. Lovely lake, shallow entry for the kids and lots of wildlife nearby from chipmunks to loons to frogs. Thank you for a lovely and relaxing holiday.

We stayed at Cedarstone for a family Christmas with 10 adult guests and a baby visiting us from abroad and it was truly a magical time for everyone. Beyond the charm of the cottage's location, right on Kennisis Lake, Rosanne and Drew's efforts to make this place a true home are mindblowing. The decoration is splendid and extremely detail-oriented, everything is provided (you truly only need to bring food and clothes and will want for nothing!), and our hosts went as far as offering to set up Christmas decorations both inside and outside, which really made our stay even more magical. They were very available, organized and helpful and truly a pleasure to exchange with. We also rented snowmobiles and went dog sledding with the Haliburton Forest Reserve which is approx. 15-20 minutes away with a car so I really recommend that place for that reason too: you'll have access to a lot of activities even in the winter. Just make sure you have a 4x4 and/or winter tires if going in the winter. It's a must and Rosanne will (rightly) insist on it. Truly truly recommend this place, and will definitely keep it in mind if we ever need somewhere to go with a big crowd again. Thanks again to them both for everything!

What an amazing place to bring our family together. We have made some lovely memories here. Paddling at sunrise, big family meals around the table, swimming (we have three little mermaids under 5 years old!), dusk campfires, scarlet sunsets, wildlife spotting (loons, deer, snapper turtles, garter snake, fox) diving competitions, fantastic trip to Blueberry Isle to cliff jump, pontoon through five lakes at Halliburton, the wolf centre, glass blowing, brewery (Boshkung Brewery & Halliburton Highlands), delicious meal at 'Rhubarb' and fish and chips at 'Baked & Battered', and a beautiful autumn walk at Centennial Ridges in Algonquin Provincial Park. Thank you Rosanne and Drew for our stay in your gorgeous home!
