This one-and-a-half story four-season cottage is situated in the heart of the Kawarthas, only 2 hours from Toronto. With more than 2 000 sq. feet of decks and docks, there's room to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

This cottage has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, eat-in kitchen, mudroom, den, living/dining room, and a glassed-in sun room facing the lake with an eastern exposure. There are two wood-burning fireplaces for cool evenings, and a large cedar sauna and outdoor fire pit.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, range and microwave oven, with place settings for 12. Pillows, blankets, duvets and quilts are provided, but guests must bring their own bed linens and towels. A washer/dryer is available for your convenience.

There are multiple options for indoor entertainment with satellite HD TV, stereo, internet, and a games table with cards, chess, backgammon, plus plenty of board games and puzzles. Outside, guests can use the two-person kayak and five-person paddle boat. Life jackets for all sizes are provided. There is also space for your own boat with a public boat launch 10 minutes away.

As part of the Trent-Severn Waterway, Big Bald Lake gives you access to 386 km of historic locks and canals. Ten minutes away is the town of Buckhorn with a variety of restaurants, thrift shops, a grocery store, LCBO and nearby gas stations. There are several public golf courses in the area, and the City of Peterborough is a short 30-minute drive.

Excellent place to relax. Very quite. Everything that I expected were in the cottage. Very clean and updated. Lots of rooms and beds. Huge den, living room, dining table, kitchen, sauna and dock/deck. Great for fishing. Everything provided. Fast internet. I have guests and they love the place. The sad part is leaving. I would definitely coming back. I highly recommend this cottage, you won't regret it. Thanks to the owner Carol and Peter and to Joe who made sure that we are ok during our stay. 2 thumbs up to this cottage!

We found this cottage to be well looked after and in a very pleasing location. All the necessary amenities were provided and things were in good working order. I particularly liked the large dining area that seated our whole crew and the outdoor deck/dock area is perfect for outdoor family time. The fishing was good and this was important as we have some avid young fishermen. We caught lots of bass and the biggest catches were right off the dock. I would certainly return another year.
