| A lovely, comfortable place for our girls' retreat. And a good location for taking some day trips exploring the countryside - and a few wineries! It is a large property without neighbours within eyesight, has a great vista and sunsets too. It is well appointed, offering a great setting.

| This was my second visit to Thompson Point and the first for my family. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful accommodation and location. We used it as a family gathering spot to join our three family bubbles after following COVID restrictions . It was a wonderful way to get together while my daughters were continuing their college and university courses on line. There were no wifi problems during exams or lectures . We as a group of 5 were able to spread out through out the house to complete work while swimming , hiking and barbecuing when work was done for the day! We even got to view the stars and the comet several nights in a row! We've already booked our next family stay for this fall.

| A group of my friends and I recently spent 2 weeks at this amazing getaway! Picturesque, secluded, relaxing, comfortable, well appointed only begin to describe it - just rustic enough to feel like you are at a cottage but without feeling that you're roughing it.
Jennifer couldn't have been easier to deal with which was awesome - def take her advice in the listing re bringing water shoes and extra fans if the forecast is exceptionally warm - we were there during a week of 30+ temps which made it warm at night but the trade off was the water temp being warmer than normal as well. And how often does one get to see a comet (Neowise) with the naked eye!
We hope future guests enjoy the inflatable island we left as well!

Owner response: Doug, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We always sincerely appreciate them! AND: a very big thank you for donating the floating island to the cottage. It will be left in the garage for future renters to enjoy. Tethered to the dock, it's a perfect way to spend an afternoon at the cottage. (Bonus that it has a cooler built in! lol!!) Glad you had an amazing getaway, and hope to see you again at Thompson Point. Warm regards, Jennifer

| We had an amazing time at Thompson Point Lakehouse! Such a beautiful property, a definite 10/10 for privacy. The interior of the cottage had a lovely decor and everything we needed to be comfortable. Everything was clean and cozy.
Outside, the lake is very accessible which was great for our toddler as we didn't have to worry about climbing a ton of stairs up and down to access the water. The set up below with the Muskoka chairs by the fire was perfect to watch the sunset each night.
The water was wonderful, but take Jennifer's advice and wear watershoes. You will definitely cut yourself without them. What made the water so fun for us was a party sized floatie we bought at Costco which would have been even nicer if the property had one for its guests.
Jennifer was an amazing host, she is extremely organized and always responds promptly to any questions you may have.
Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing, private cottage getaway.
Thanks so much Jennifer!

Owner response: Thank you sincerely for the kind words Vanessa. Glad you and your group had an amazing time at Thompson Point. We've worked hard to ensure it is an amazing venue for getaways for our renters - and for us too! We definitely recommend water shoes for any swimming - mainly because the rocks can be slippery, but a few of them do have a sharp edge or two, depending on what has been washed up on or near the shore. Safety of our guests is paramount- so we tell everyone to bring water shoes if enjoying the lake. Hope you can make a return visit - we'd love to have you back! Enjoy the rest of your summer Vanessa. Cheers, Jennifer Love your floatie idea! In fact - we had one of the Costco floaties. Sadly it

| Our stay at 43 Thompson Point was just wonderful. This was my second visit. Our family spent a weekend together at the Lake House last year. We enjoyed it so much I suggested booking it for our girls getaway this fall. It was a hit! The Lake House is absolutely beautiful. It is spacious and so tastefully decorated. The location offers privacy and a beautiful view of the water from every room. It's conveniently located near Prince Edward County which offers a wide range of things to do. Our group of ladies loved the Lake House just as much as my family did. The owners were lovely to correspond with. Everything was thought of and the price is so reasonable particularly if you are travelling as a group. I would highly recommend a stay at the Lake House. We enjoyed every minute!

Owner response: Thank you Jane for the wonderful review! We love hearing from our returning guests. I agree - it's awesome for families, but also for close groups of friends too. I am especially fond of Girls-Getaway weekends myself! (speaking from experience). :) Hope to see you return for a 3rd visit someday! Thank you kindly for taking the time to write a review.
