The Gull River PostCard, a 3 bedroom waterfront rental with over 1700 square feet of living space and 500 square feet of deck overlooking the river, welcomes you! A stay at the PostCard is perfect in any season!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) For the summer season, I cannot book a stay of less than five (5) nights. A weekend is possible ONLY as part of a longer stay.

2) The property owner lives on the main floor. The rental unit is the upper floor. All details listed here are about the spacious and comfortable rental unit. Renters have a private entrance to their unit. The two units are entirely separate and private.

This spacious unit can sleep 6-8 people in three comfortable bedrooms. A full kitchen overlooks the great room which is approximately 35 feet x 17 feet. In the cooler weather, enjoy the fireplace. In the summer, swim, boat, roast some marshmallows, and tell some stories at the outdoor fire pit.

Boaters: Use either the Lutterworth Township Public launch or the Elliot Falls Public launch. You will have access to Moore Lake and East Moore Lake, popular destinations for fishing, swimming, and pleasure boating. Depending on water levels, your boat may also have access to Black Lake, a quiet and scenic little lake with excellent bass fishing.

Water Babies: Kayaking, canoeing, swimming, paddleboarding all are common uses of this lovely waterway. The current is almost non-existent. The beach area is great for kids. Parents love the shallow wade in/play in space between docks. Use the guest WIFI at the waterfront to connect and stream tunes while enjoying the water, woodland, sky and sun.

We visit cottages regularly. This was the first time we stayed at cottage where the owner lived on-site. Initially we were hesitant about this. However, The experience was no different than us being at a cottage entirely to our selves. Liz was so good at keeping "out of the way", it seemed as if the house was entirely to us!!! But with the advantage of her being readily available! Overall, we had a great experience during our stay at the Postcard. Liz was an amazing host. We felt like we were home with all the comfort features available. The house is beautiful both inside and out. We enjoyed the kayak/canoe/paddle boat, the fire pit, the bbq, the massive deck overlooking the river, and the company of her lovely dogs Big Dee and Cindy!

Owner response:
It was lovely to meet you and your rental party. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to seeing you back here again!

The Gull River Postcard was an exquisite place to stay. I generally have a few concerns when it comes to renting a cottage, for instance: 1) Is the place going to be hygenically clean? 2) Is the water wide/quiet enough for swimming without constantly worrying about the water traffic? 3) Is the place equipped with modern amenities? Well, Liz's place is clean and offers all the comforts one can reasonably desire. The river is also wide enough for boats to pass while people are swimming/cruising in the water by the dock. Liz respects your privacy and is a wonderful host who made our stay as comfortable as we would be at our own homes. I already have recommended her place to friends and expect to return again with my family in the future.

Owner response:
This is a lovely review and I really enjoyed meeting your rental group last year, Jeremy. Thank you very much for the kind words!

From start to finish, "Gull River PostCard" was a top-notch cottage get-away. The host was very welcoming - she greeted us in the most polite, cheerful, unpretentious way, and assured us of providing anything that we were lacking. She respected our privacy throughout our stay but was always helpful when we asked for assistance. We found the vacation apartment to be spotlessly clean, and tastefully updated & decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, dishes, utensils, & all other meal preparation necessities. The owner even went the extra mile of providing wood and detailed fire lighting instructions for the beutiful wood fireplace. The highlight of our stay was the amazing winter hiking we did on the nearby trails - serene and wonderful. "The Gull River Postcard" really exceeded our expectations & we won't hesitate to stay there again & recommend it to friends visiting the Norland, Ontario area!

Owner response:
Hi Peter -
Wow - very kind and how lovely that you all enjoyed yourselves on what turned out to be the coldest weekend of the winter!

Great to meet everyone - hope to see you up here again sometime -

Cheers,

Liz

We spent an ideal Christmas week at The Postcard -- a cozy yet roomy getaway. Liz was wonderfully accommodating and made us feel very much at home. Some of our favourite things included:

- the bright and expansive great room which looked out over the river; it was perfect for lounging, reading, playing games.
- the fireplace! Liz had lots of wood at the ready, and we loved hanging out by the fire in the evenings.
- the very well-equipped kitchen, including a double oven!
- large eating area overlooking the water
- super comfortable beds
- lots of good hiking/snowshoeing right out the front door; more excellent hiking within a few kilometres.
