I could not have asked for a better first time experience through cottagesincanada.com. Great communication and great cottage! The cottage was exactly as shown in the pictures - the space was bright and well ventilated. My group of 14 had the most relaxing and enjoyable Canada Day weekend barbecuing in the backyard, lounging on the dock and making the most out of the water equipments. Some people walked over by the boating dock to pick up tubs of Kawartha ice cream. The only things to watch out for are mosquitoes (bring repellent) and geese poop (broom provided). Other than that, bring some sunscreen, blankets, and solid company!

Our experience here at the cottage was great. We stayed for 2 nights... raining one day. 3 young kids (5 & under) and 6 adults. We would definitely come back to this cottage again.

Below is a list of what we liked about the cottage:
- big trampoline for the kids (we had 3 kids in total). They loved it.
- the beach - it was across the road from the cottage. Sandy and shallow for the kids to splash around in (but lots of geese poop)
- a great movie selection for the rainy day for the kids
- the rooms are all a good size and beds were comfortable (lots of pillows). There was no a/c but it was cool at night which was great
- great dining area, screened in porch/sitting area, games area, carpeted living room (used it as a play area for the kids), and well equipped kitchen
- loved the fire pit with the outdoor couches
- large parking area
- owners are very responsive to emails, organized, and flexible/accommodating (& left a welcome gift which is always a plus)
- Neighbours are not beside you so lots of privacy (especially with the trees around you)

Some things to note:
- bring toys for your little ones
- little/no cell phone reception (good to disconnect from everything)
- lots of mosquitos
- cottage is right off the main road (so you will hear vehicles zip by)

My group of 16 stayed at this cottage for 4 days and by the end of it, we all wished we could have stayed longer. The owner made the booking process really easy and was always there to answer any questions we had. On arrival, the cottage was spotless! Definitely the cleanest, tidiest, and well-stocked cottages we've been in. There were so many activities to do. The cottage had canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, and a paddle board that kept us occupied for majority of the day, plus the lake water was good for swimming and fishing. The backyard was spacious! We were even able to set up a small badminton/volleyball net at the back. The trampoline was also great. The interior was really cosy, comfortable and clean. There was also a foosball and air hockey table available, as well as cards and board games, which everyone enjoyed tremendously. The basement was newly renovated and had two bedrooms and a second washroom, which was very convenient, especially for a large group. All in all, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend to any one and everyone! It has everything you need to have a great time!

We have a large family, including 9 young children and the waterfront activities, the backyard trampoline and the indoor air hockey and table hockey games kept them fully engaged during our 7 day vacation. This is an ideal cottage for a large family with active children!
The large screened porch which surrounded the dining room was the natural adult gathering place after the children went to bed. All in all it was a great vacation for both children and adults.
Finally, the cottage owners were very helpful and quickly responded to questions during both the initial rental process and during our vacation stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage for two nights. The cottage is very clean, it has everything you need. The living room and dining rooms are spacious. The cottage inside is well equipped with boardgame, foosball and air hockey, my friends and I enjoyed the retro game console called family computer, it has all of the retro games that I'm pretty sure everybody used to play when they were a kid. For outdoor activities we enjoyed the watersports, the owner provided us with kayak, canoes, pedal boat and paddle board. I find the backyard spacious. It has a couch around the fire pit and the trampoline is entertaining. The beautiful garden in front of the cottage is a really good background for those who loves to take pictures like me. Overall, I will give it a three thumbs up if I have extra one ;) I highly recommend this cottage. :)
