We stayed at this cottage in August 2019 with a group of 16 adults. Overall, the property is large and beautiful with many things to do. The dock area has a nice sandy strip perfect for outdoor games. The paddle boat, kayak and canoes also kept us busy in the day time. Behind the cottage, the fire pit was perfect for the evening with plenty of comfortable seating around. Inside our highlight was the solarium as it was raining for a portion of our stay and this area was perfect for getting some fresh air and enjoying the view while being covered. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dinnerware and cutlery. The dining area was very nice and perfect for eating with a large group of people. There was also a foosball table inside and trampoline outside.

Some things to note:
- While the cottage does sleep 16 people, this is based on having 3 people per king bed which can be tight with adults
- With our large group, 2 bathrooms did cause some inconveniences and we wish there was a 3rd one
- There were no bath mats provided, and especially in the downstairs bathroom it did get quite wet and messy
- The parking area is perfect for 6 cars
- Garbage has to be taken to the disposal site which opens at noon on Sunday while check out is at 11AM - since we had to head out we dropped the garbage off at the marina which was $5 for each garbage bag and $2 for each recycling bag (disposal site charges $1 for garbage and free for recycling)

For my first time booking a cottage, the owner made the process really and always answered my question quickly and professionally. We were always busy kept busy during the day through the use of the canoes, kayak, paddleboard and paddle boat. There was also a surplus of lifejackets which were amazing. The cottage has a foosball table and an air hockey table which made nights fun and competitive. The cottage also has a bunch of movies and games. The backyard firepit was amazing especially with the couches around the pit that allowed for fun and relaxing nights around the fire. This was a trip all of us would not forget and I can speak for all of us when I say we had a great time.

I could not have asked for a better first time experience through cottagesincanada.com. Great communication and great cottage! The cottage was exactly as shown in the pictures - the space was bright and well ventilated. My group of 14 had the most relaxing and enjoyable Canada Day weekend barbecuing in the backyard, lounging on the dock and making the most out of the water equipments. Some people walked over by the boating dock to pick up tubs of Kawartha ice cream. The only things to watch out for are mosquitoes (bring repellent) and geese poop (broom provided). Other than that, bring some sunscreen, blankets, and solid company!

Our experience here at the cottage was great. We stayed for 2 nights... raining one day. 3 young kids (5 & under) and 6 adults. We would definitely come back to this cottage again.

Below is a list of what we liked about the cottage:
- big trampoline for the kids (we had 3 kids in total). They loved it.
- the beach - it was across the road from the cottage. Sandy and shallow for the kids to splash around in (but lots of geese poop)
- a great movie selection for the rainy day for the kids
- the rooms are all a good size and beds were comfortable (lots of pillows). There was no a/c but it was cool at night which was great
- great dining area, screened in porch/sitting area, games area, carpeted living room (used it as a play area for the kids), and well equipped kitchen
- loved the fire pit with the outdoor couches
- large parking area
- owners are very responsive to emails, organized, and flexible/accommodating (& left a welcome gift which is always a plus)
- Neighbours are not beside you so lots of privacy (especially with the trees around you)

Some things to note:
- bring toys for your little ones
- little/no cell phone reception (good to disconnect from everything)
- lots of mosquitos
- cottage is right off the main road (so you will hear vehicles zip by)

My group of 16 stayed at this cottage for 4 days and by the end of it, we all wished we could have stayed longer. The owner made the booking process really easy and was always there to answer any questions we had. On arrival, the cottage was spotless! Definitely the cleanest, tidiest, and well-stocked cottages we've been in. There were so many activities to do. The cottage had canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, and a paddle board that kept us occupied for majority of the day, plus the lake water was good for swimming and fishing. The backyard was spacious! We were even able to set up a small badminton/volleyball net at the back. The trampoline was also great. The interior was really cosy, comfortable and clean. There was also a foosball and air hockey table available, as well as cards and board games, which everyone enjoyed tremendously. The basement was newly renovated and had two bedrooms and a second washroom, which was very convenient, especially for a large group. All in all, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend to any one and everyone! It has everything you need to have a great time!
