Waterfront

You are welcome at Cressy Lakehouse, a renovated 200-year-old farmhouse on Lake Ontario, with 3.5 acres of lawn, trees, and meadows as well as 300 feet of private waterfront and excellent swimming.

The house is full of windows: light, water views, and breezes come from every direction. The kitchen with island eating area opens to a large family room. A separate great room with beamed ceiling and stone fireplace has French doors to a stone patio with barbecue and comfortable seating. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms off a grand upstairs hallway. The house has room for six adults. The main floor entrance has a mud room and powder room. The internet/wifi service is excellent.

Down the lawn, across the lakeside road, you will find the waterfront, with granite rock landscaping perfect for climbing and sitting, a dock, a fire pit, deck chairs, and a different sunset every evening. Water is shallow entry with room for splashing -- perfect for small children. The shoreline is a mix of small rocks and sand -- bring water shoes.

Cressy is a quiet area of Prince Edward County on the Adolphus Reach, famous for its sailing. The house sits on a very quiet road that winds along the lake and is perfect for walking and cycling.

6 adults, 2 toddlers, a baby and two dogs had an absolutely amazing faming vacation at Cressy Point. Karen's home is incredible. We loved that there was lots of space for families to spread out or for kids to play. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the large island was perfect for our little people. The property is large which gave our kids lots of opportunity to run around and feel adventurous. Water access is across the road from the home - at first we thought this was a negative but we quickly realized it was an added bonus for cottaging with such little kids as there was no need to worry about where they were in relation to the waterfront. We loved this place and will be returning!
