When you drive up to Window on the Lake, you would be excused for thinking it is just another cottage on the lakeside road. The cottage looks unassuming from the driveway. Enter the cottage or walk around back, however, and see exactly how this cottage derives its name. Window on the Lake sits slightly elevated from the waterfront, offering a magnificent view of the lake spanning the horizon. We first visited this cottage one sunny morning and were overwhelmed by the view.

The deck and waterfront yard are the stars of the show here, and the cottage is built to take full advantage. Glass railings preserve the view. A large deck will be the choice of many for convenience to the cottage amenities while enjoying the view. Parents can also keep an eye on the kids from here as they enjoy the playset - perhaps with imaginations whirring with tales of high sea adventures. A few stairs take you down to a waterfront patio area and dock - another great place to enjoy the sun with a surprising level of privacy.

Inside, the cottage continues its love affair with the lake - full wall windows afford fabulous views from the dining room, living room, master bedroom and en suite bath. This keeps the cottage bright and cheerful. Ideally suited to extended families, there is a children's bedroom with bunk beds directly off the master bedroom, offering a self-contained suite for Mom and Dad and 2 children. Two more bedrooms elsewhere in the cottage raise the sleeping capacity to 8. A fully equipped kitchen with an informal dinette round out the interior.
