We stayed from Sep 2-6 and had a great time. This cottage is what it appears, and there are no surprises.

Great to unwind away from "WiFi" and the constant phone checking. There are a couple great provincial parks nearby to check out.

When it rains, there is a massive selection of DVDs to go through, some old favourites were there.

The dock didn't seem to get any sun into around 2pm but if hot out it doesn't matter. The sauna was a great way to end the evening and decompress before dinner and a fire.

Thanks, Denis!

We love this place! My family and I had an excellent time at this beautiful cottage. It is spacious, clean, cozy, very relaxing, has a fully equipped kitchen, bbq and sauna! We loved hanging out on the dock with coffee in the morning, swimming with the kids, kayaking, lounging in the hammock and taking in the gorgeous summer sunsets. We cannot wait to go back.

Wife and I spent M-F 2nd week in July meaning the lake was practically deserted of motor traffic and we imagined ourselves being the only inhabitants. Owner-supplied kayaks allowed us to traverse the entire silhouette of Duck Lake easily and we usually returned for a refreshing dip in the clear water followed by an invigorating sauna. A few steps down from the cottage is the cozy dock which offers all-day sun and a 180 degree lake view. The lake was occasionally glassy-smooth lending to the serenity. Priceless sunsets!!....especially with the resident loons chirping in as the sun went down. Cottage is very tidy and the view through the main room floor-to-ceiling windows (newly renovated, not in pics) overlooking the lake was amazing and opened the space up tremendously. The cottage is about 200m in from the side road and offers great privacy, even looking in from the lake, as it's surrounded by mature foliage that's a small bird paradise. We stopped trying to identify all the different sounds from that natural aviary. The weather was perfect on our days, and we had maximum enjoyment of all this property offered, leaving us totally rejuvenated. Would love to experience it again at some point.

So great staying here last year. Perfect water in the afternoon, cozy fireplace at night. Was so hard to go back to the city after this dose of cottage living. Very friendly host is always around to help if you need. Definitely going back!

Looking forward to returning to this comfortable cottage overlooking the lake. Kids enjoyed swimming in the calm, clear water and exploring the shoreline. Dock offers a beautiful lake panorama during the day and a clear view for stargazing at night. Sauna is a welcome, relaxing bonus. Equally nice in June right through to the fall. Friendly, helpful owner!
