THINGS TO DO AT BACK BAY COTTAGE:
Spend time on the water.
Fishing: If you love to fish, you will love Back Bay. Lake Nipissing is home to walleye, bass, northern pike and panfish. Swimming: Our shoreline is a gradual entry and a sand bottom for the first 8-10 feet only. The bay is shallow and there may be weeds near the end of our private dock. A natural beach is a short boat ride away or you can drive to enjoy a public swimming area and jumping rock.
Canoeing and kayaking: The bay is a great place to enjoy the canoe and kayak. Stand up paddle board and pedal board are also available for your use.
Boating: Lake Nipissing is for boaters! If you have your own boat, enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Lake Nipissing. Back Bay has a private dock for your use. Public (free) boat launch is available just minutes away.
Spend time outdoors.
There is a variety of wildlife to spot in the area. Depending on the season that you visit, you may see moose, bald eagles, golden eagles, trumpeter swans, beaver and muskrat.
