From Collingwood to Penetanguishene, the blue-green water of Georgian Bay sparkles like a giant sapphire, set in the sandy beaches of Wasaga, Woodland, Deanlea, Bluewater, Georgina, Balm Beach, Thunder Beach and many others. Thousands of people enjoy this playground every day in the summer months. While some of these can get very crowded, it's nice to find some space of your own to truly relax, enjoy the sun (or shade from a beach umbrella), dip your toes in the water, go for a full swim or maybe a stroll up the beach. All are time-honoured activities of the Bay and the beaches. Finding the right spot to stay can be a little difficult at times and we think we can help.

Deanlea Beach is located about halfway between Balm Beach and Wasaga Beach and offers the same great set of experiences. A short stroll from the beach area here is where you'll find aptly named Sandy Strolls. A very short walk via the backyard takes you to the public beach, while an only slightly longer amble along a shaded path takes you to a shared private beach available to area residents (and their guests) only. We hardly need to tell you what to do at the beach - we're sure you'll arrive with whatever says "beach" in your own mind - be it snorkelling gear, a football, a blanket and umbrella, or maybe just some sunscreen and a great book.

While you'll likely spend the lion's share of your time enjoying the sand and surf, the cottage won't let you down one bit. A 4-bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage, it is clean and has an updated feel to it, providing everything your group needs. The main level holds the living/kitchen/dining areas as well as a 3-piece washroom and a washing machine. Living room space is pretty generous, and with the big screen TV for movie nights, makes a wonderful gathering space for the whole group. Upstairs are the 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 people in comfort. Too hot outside? No problem, the air conditioning will keep you cool. The upstairs also has a cosy seating area and a delightful balcony for those wanting a little quiet time on their own.
