Nestled in the woods on the beautiful spring fed Papineau Lake, sits your rustic escape. The extraordinary three story log and barn board cottage is ready for you to relax. Beautiful sunrises and gorgeous star filled nights await you. Clean, shallow entry, sandy bottom fresh water beckons you to swim, jump off the raft, or paddleboat. Float toys will add to the fun. A warm, cozy wood burning fireplace takes the chill out of those cooler evenings. The living room showcases the million dollar lake view. A large deck is ready for relaxing, barbequing and listening to nature. The cottage sleeps five comfortably. There are three bedrooms each with a queen sized bed, plus a large loft with a single and double bed. The price includes internet, linens, basic supplies (spices, oils, sugar, a few rolls of toilet paper and a roll of paper towels) , board games and movies galore to entertain you during your stay. New dock and new road. Parking accommodates two cars. For supplies the quaint town of Maynooth offers a general store, essential groceries and an LCBO. The region offers quaint antique and gifts stores, restaurants/ pub, and a Saturday farmers market.
Bancroft, Barry's Bay and Algonquin Park are just 30 minutes away. Hiking trails, horseback riding, two golf courses, Bancroft brewery and white water rafting are just a few of the attractions.

| We stayed at the Escape for 6 days 5 nights. Beautiful, peaceful little piece of paradise. Beautiful peaceful and clean lake. A wonderful dock where Paul sat drinking his morning coffee and we ended every evening sitting in the tranquility of it all. Our dog Flynn had a blast splashing about.

| Just the "escape" we needed.... Unique cottage with all the amenities. Great clear lake - perfect for swimming, kayaking and other water sports. Very restful with little traffic on the lake while we were there. Enjoyed day trips into Maynooth, Bancroft & Barry's Bay over our two-week stay. Our small Shih Tzu "Edison" felt right at home, too. Thanks to Bonnie & Tom for the warm welcome and stellar accommodation - We'll be back!

| Cosy rustic cabin with ample supplies, just needed us and our meals. Peaceful location, easy water access for kids and dog. New dock was great and our boat fit perfectly. Tom and Bonnie were attentive and provided key information along the way to preparing for the trip, great to interact with!

| We had an amazing time at the Escape, it was truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage was very spacious and rustic, but all the comforts of home. The views from the cottage where breath taken. The lake was very clean, you could see the turtles swimming on bottom. The owner of this amazing cottage was very accommodating and responded to questions without delay. He left a bottle of wine and bars for the little ones to kick start our vacation. Thank You

| We enjoyed our stay at ESCAPE, September 6 to 11. 2021.
We had a great time at the cottage, enjoying the breathtaking view of Papineau Lake from inside and out. It is a very quiet, clean and calm lake. At night, stargazing was amazing. We even caught a few shooting stars. It was magical!
This cottage is very unique in its architecture and it has open and lofty feeling.
We are very glad to have experienced it.
Thanks to Bonnie and Tom for the welcoming bottle of wine. It was perfect in celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Everything went smoothly with Tom's detailed instructions.
