- Explore, discover any of the four seasons Orr Lake has to offer at this uplifting Lakefront cottage, only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Toronto. With Sandy and shallow waters reaching almost 80ft from the peaceful shoreline this oasis offers safety for the little ones, rest and relaxation for you and you significant other. Rest and relaxation are found on the dock and waterfront area. Large windows overlooking the water only add to the character this cottage has to offer. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT PROVIDING LINENS AND TOWELS DUE TO COVID CONCERNS
- Open and airy, the cottage provides an instant euphoric feeling once you enter, then as you turn to the view of the Lake, just feels like home. Please note there is a holding tank and conservative use of the water and toilet facilities is highly appreciated. PLEASE only use toilet paper provided which is suitable for the holding tank, standard toilet paper or other objects are not.
- PLEASE use house household water conservatively, property is on a sceptic system.
- The water supply is an artisan well, as the water is clean we still recommend bringing bottled water
- Parking is available steps to the cottage. PLEASE NOTE there's a 7 night MINIMUM for July and August
- Adult Kayak, Child Kayak, 18x5 ft float mat, peddle boat for water activities.
Please note there is no laundry facility
HOUSE RULES;
PLEASE be conservative with the water usage the property is on a sceptic system
Do not throw ANYTHING down the drains it will CLOG the sewage system. The only item that can go down the toilet other than human waste is the toilet paper provided, NOTHING ELSE.
If you hear the buzzer go off in the third bedroom, contact me immediately, that means the holding tank is full. We do our absolute best and have a good system calculating when to empty it based on usage of the cottage, but just in case please keep this in mind.
-If having a camp fire you must NEVER leave the fire unattended. You must also always have a bucket of water beside you which is provided under the deck. Please put out any smouldering wood with water before you leave the fire pit unattended, then pout more water on it again to make sure. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE PROVINCIAL RULES AS OUTLINED BELOW IF HAVING A FIRE:
* ignite the fire no sooner than two hours before sunset and extinguish it no later than two hours after sunrise
* burn only a single pile at any one time
* ensure the pile is less than two metres in diameter and less than two metres high
* keep the fire at least two metres from any flammable materials
* have tools or water on hand adequate to contain the fire at the fire site
* ensure a responsible person tends the fire until it is extinguished
-MAKE SURE to always hook the peddle boat back to the dock as you found it and when done using it. Keep the bungee cord in the boat when using it
-If it is windy out on the lake, DO NOT take the peddle boat out, you will get stuck out there and not be able to peddle back to shore. DONT go to far on the peddle boat no matter what the weather, you'll likely get stranded
-Enjoy the water toys under the deck but please return them as you found them and where you found them
-NEVER leave garbage bags or food outside, it will attract animals
-Done not throw rocks In the water, we have great sandy waters and want to keep it that way
-Feel free to use the Muskoka chairs, patio furniture etc But PLEASE put everything back in the same way you found it
-We highly recommend water shoes if you plan on going in the water
-Remember that we have the place thoroughly cleaned in between each stay however you are still responsible to CLEAN up after yourself and remove all recyclables and garbage in the bins provided at the entrance to the deck. PLEASE put all your garbage in a black garbage bag, don't just dump it in the bin, make sure to use a black garbage bag so it is easily taken out
-Please put garbage into bins at the entrance to the property
-Please put all recycling at the entrance of the property
- Absolutely no candles
-Absolutely no fireworks
- Please lock ALL doors and windows including the garage before you leave. Use the August App to lock the door, PULL IT as it locks and make sure it is secured shut
- We have a good relationship with our neighbours and it is a tight knit community, please be respectful we do not want to disrupt their daily life.
- This is our second home for our family, please treat it as such
- Please note there is a standard contract you must sign to be allowed access to the property. It will be sent to you at first inquiry and if you so don't want to sign it then no access allowed
