Cedar Lodge Shores is a beautiful 2 bedroom log house on the shores of Lake Huron in Tobermory. This location is perfect for your family vacation. Enjoy a slice of private waterfront as you swim in the clear clean crisp waters of the Lake. From the private winding driveway you will find a sanctuary blended with amazing architecture and nature. Deer and wild Turkeys visit the property often which can be watched from the many large bright windows throughout the home. Sit on the large covered wrap around porch and watch the waves lap up on shore or have a fire under the stars. The logs on the exterior are as impressive on the inside of the home. Large functional kitchen with black granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Large island with breakfast bar. The upper level has a lake view sitting area which can also be an added space for an air mattress. The sitting loft area looks down over the impressive hand built staircase. | Save your money and do Not rent this place its super dirty.. we were a group of 20 people and 3 babies we spent about $7,000 for this place we drove 4 hrs thinking were goin to a luxury cottage whan we arrived it was a nightmare super dirty. We found maggots in the kitchen, spider webs everywhere, dog hair all over the place, the washroom had mold in them the placed looked like it wasn't cleaned for years especially now were in the pandemic of Corona virus you'd think they follow the rules of cleaning, and health and safety, the so called manager Amanda and her husband Lee are money hungry and they honestly don't care bout you as longs they get your money we called to complain bout the nasty dirty cottage that she claimed was clean they both did nothing and changed there story more then 3 times. We have videos of everything and how dirty this place was we found dirt and balloons under beds, a garbage bag filled with garbage and dead bugs can of beer but yet Amanda claimed the cottage was clean. The lights kept goin off we had no water for a good 2 hrs with our kids swimming they slept without showers because Amanda wouldn't answer her phone hours later her husband showed up with 2 other men that claimed they were plumbers and were drinking while fixing the water issue and whan we tried to talk to Lee who frist said he was the property manager whn we frist met him that that night he claimed he was only the maintenance guy

Owner response: Lee and Amanda number one do not own this property and rates are set and collected by the homeowner. Number two anyone reading this should understand that these disgruntled people were offered a full refund if they didn't like the place for any nights that they didn't choose to stay and we're offered a partial refund by the company they rented through (us) at our own expense for circumstances beyond our control. These folks had sheer neglect for this property while staying here, caused electrical problems and plumbing issues by not reading the Rental forms and understanding they are in a country dwelling (ie septic and well). To top that off they also caused extensive damage to the property and to the personal effects and theft of belongings to the property managers that were locked in private area living dwelling about the estate. This area was locked and broken into by these people when the rest of their party was forcibly removed by opp and sprayed down with fire extinguishers. Anyone wishing for further information can contact us about this directly but I would not trust a review from someone capable of breaking and entering, trespassing, liable, threats, extortion, theft, slander and destruction of property. The sad part is these renters were in their mid thirties. Oh the joys of bad renters. | |
