Welcome to your River Retreat!!!
You will have everything you need for a relaxing stay. This property is perfect for families, groups or couples wanting to escape and enjoy what the Kawarthas have to offer! Summer swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, Golfing nearby, BBQ and of course campfires. Winter snowshoeing, hunting, ice fishing nearby and snowmobiling at your fingertips. Grab your coffee and head down to the dock and enjoy those northern morning sunrises off of the Burnt River right in your own backyard!!
Our retreat is located on a large lot with a deck, grassy backyard for outdoor games and a dock at the river's edge. Burnt River runs along the back of the property and is great for swimming and fishing (not safe for skating). The River is about a 30m boat ride into Cameron Lake and also accessible to the Trent Waterways!! (you can boat all day). You can put a boat in the water at the nearby launch and follow it up to the cottage. The cottage is over 2000sqft and has plenty of space for your whole family and friends.
Burnt River is quiet, deep and weed-free along much of its length and makes for great teenage and adult swimming. (ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET FOR INEXPERIENCED SWIMMERS). The banks of the river are often steep, which makes wading with small children more difficult.
All amenities are within 15kms of the property.

We are located 2 hours North of Toronto and the GTA. About 4 hours Southwest of Ottawa.
There is ample parking in the driveway.
You will have the whole cottage to yourselves as well as the back deck, yard and dock. We are a text/phone call away and have friendly neighbours that can assist when needed. Always reach out to the Hosts first before asking a neighbour please. We will rectify and question and/or concern for you! But we know you will just love the space and we have set it up for your family/friends to just come in, lay your bags down, relax and enjoy the amenities and ambiance!

Quiet Hours from 11pm-8am please. No shoes inside the cottage.
1. Respect neighbours at all times. Please keep noise levels reasonable, do not go on neighbours' properties and do not dump trash in neighbours bins.
2. No parties or events!!! Please ask before inviting additional guests to the cottage in order to make sure we are respectful of neighbours and not causing disturbances in the community.
3. No pets - unfortunately we cannot make any exceptions to this rule as a member of our family has sever allergies to dust/ animal dander/ cigarette smoke.
4. River safety - please use a buddy system while swimming, supervise children at all times and avoid swimming after dark. The river is NOT safe for skating or entering in the Winter Season. The River DOES NOT FREEZE.
5. No smoking (of any kind) or vaping in the cottage. Smoking is permitted outside ONLY and please take care not to litter butts around.
6. Respect check-in/ check-out times. Check in is 4pm onwards and check-out is 10am sharp. We are always happy to adjust for a FEE when possible if no one is coming/ going on the same day as you.
**Host reserves the right to charge an extra fee for ANY UNAUTHORIZED early/late check in/outs OR for ANY UNAUTHORIZED persons or animals not approved prior with the Host.
** Host will not be responsible to provide any sort of refund or compensation unless specified otherwise by owner due to any unforseen weather and/or power outages**
