No internet but good cell coverage.

No pets allowed. We have 5 River Otters and a Mink on the property that I do not wish to disturb.

You will have use of 2 adult SUP (stand up paddle boards), 1 canoe and a 30 foot water mat.

We had a fantastic week at Scott's cottage. Everything is exactly as advertised. The lake is very clean and quiet, and great for swimming or canoeing. The cottage itself is exactly what we were looking for- very comfortable while remaining rustic. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials. The paddle boards and especially the water mat were a hit with my teenagers, and we all enjoyed the view of the lake from the large deck. We didn't have any problems, but on the two occasions that I did need to contact Scott he answered my text immediately.

All told, it was a very peaceful week in a beautiful spot. I would 100% recommend Scott's cottage.

We spent a wonderful week here in August 2023 and I can't say enough about how great this place is. Because of it's location near Calabogie, it felt like we were truly getting away from it all and we didn't have to deal with the traffic and noise that goes with cottaging in places like Muskoka. The price is reasonable and Scott was a pleasure to deal with. Scott's place feels like an actual cottage, not a sterile Airbnb. It is rugged and authentic, but clearly well maintained. With two queen beds and a bunk bed, it is great for a family or for two couples. It is well equipped with paddle boards, a canoe, and a floating raft. Situated in a quiet cove, it doesn't get noisy boat traffic and is an ideal place for kids to swim. Since it's only a few steps down to the docks from the back deck of the cabin parents can easily keep an eye on kids. The docks get all-day sun. On the cooler or less sunny days, we had great luck fishing around the nearby islands. That said, definitely buy groceries in one of the bigger centres on your way to the cottage because there's not much selection in nearby Calabogie. Can't wait to get back there next summer.

Our stay at this cottage was absolutely perfect. After being a random renter for the past 7 years, we have finally found a place we would return to year after year. The cottage (with gorgeous vintage vibes) is very well equipped with everything you could need from sunscreen to chargers and condiments (I completely overpacked due to previous rental trauma!). The beds are comfortable, the place is very clean (linen provided too!) and everything was in working order. The water toys were an added bonus! This lake is beautiful, not a weed in sight (great fishing right off the dock) and the neighbours were so friendly even helped out when we had vehicle issues! Our host was very responsive and friendly. This place is the perfect mix between rustic and modern amenities.

Awesome week at the cottage. The owner is very friendly and great communication. The cottage is very rustic and sits in a quiet bay - great for swimming. If you want a true cottage, not a house, this is the one! The cottage was very comfortable, had everything we needed. Great dock and deck to enjoy the view and sun all day! SUP boards were also a hit!
