A beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage, nestled in a sheltered bay on Big Bald Lake. A separate bunkie over boat house is just steps from the main cottage, has 2 bunks, and a comfortable pull out couch. A great hideaway for older kids with a 'fridge for drinks and snacks, a TV and a PS4. A bridge leads from the deck to the firepit at the back of the cottage where you can watch fireflies, star gaze and roast marshmallows. Roasting sticks included! There is a sand beach and a walk out area for the little ones. A channel has been dug at the end of the dock to allow access for boats - also a great place for the older kids to jump in! There is great fishing right off the dock! Take the paddle boards out to one of the myriad of tiny islands in the bay and go for a swim - or canoe through a bay full of lily pads. (Canoe, paddle boards and paddle boat on site for use). You can watch spectacular sunsets from the huge wrap around deck with covered gazebo, or fire up the BBQ for a nice summer meal. Boat to Big Bald Lake's famous "jumping rock" and take the leap! You'll find it on the way to Catalina Bay, just a 5 minute boat ride away. Dock your boat at Catalina Bay and get icecream for the kids, or grab lunch by the water's edge at their great little restaurant.
The cottage is situated conveniently between Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon; grocery store, bakery and great shopping just a few minutes away.
The cottage itself is cozy and inviting with a 2 sided fireplace between dining room and living room, large fully equipped kitchen, dining table large enough to accommodate the entire family and a large laundry/utility room with extra cupboard space for supplies.
