Loon Lake Cottage! Summer is here! Reserve your time now and don't miss out!! A north-facing, bungalow cottage that gets the perfect amount of sun, with shade when needed and has the most spectacular sunsets. The dock view is unbeatable! Drive to within 10 feet of the back door. The cottage is well kept, inside and out with vintage overtones. It is in its original 1971 form with all the decals. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom recently updated. Updates include: Freshly painted deck (June 2022), Internet, full size BBQ, a full kitchen and more. You have come to the right place as we have the best lot on the lake with the widest view and the least amount of boat traffic. Our cottage sits on the water's edge, with a large, spacious, private sandy beach for you and your family. There is a gradual walk out for young swimmers. At the end of the dock the water is approx. 4ft deep. There is a raft that floats at 7ft deep. It's the perfect setting for young children to play on the sandy beach and to be able to run in and out of the water. We include water sports equipment such as: a fiber-glass canoe, two children's sized kayaks, a four-person paddle boat and more. Enjoy a fireside chat with a natural fire pit (when fires are permitted). The cottage is located about 15 min. from the town of Gravenhurst which has all the supplies you need. I would be remiss not to mention the World renown SMS Ski Show on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in Bala. Be sure to come early to get a spot. Access is easy to find as it is at the end of our road while driving into town, turn left until you arrive in Bala. Approx. 30min away. The Wharf (in Gravenhurst) has an Historical Boat Museum, boat and watercraft rentals as well as a number of restaurants and activities for families. If you really like golfing, we have a world class course on the cottage road 5km away, Muskoka Bay Golf Course. Be sure to book early. There are many other courses nearby including: Deer Hurst, Taboo, Diamond in the Ruff and Lake Joe Golf and Country Club. Don't stop there! On your the way back from a couple of rounds of golf, be sure to book a Lake Muskoka Dinner Tour on the Seguin. It is the oldest steam ship in North America and offers a famous tour of Muskoka Lake including the Millionaires Row. Needing to find something to do in the middle of the week be sure to attend the weekly market at the Wharf on Wednesday mornings. Go early to beat the crowds.

| We stayed at Scott's for 5 nights in the summer of 2022 and I must say it's a wonderful spot. Secluded away from town enough for some peace and quite but close enough to Gravenhurst, Bala or Bracebridge for a nice day trip out. There is a perfect mix of new age amenities and old cottage feel. A wonderfully large deck overlooking the lake which is a few steps from the waters edge with a sand area for children and a nice fire pit. We also enjoyed the large paddleboat he provided among other water activities and even life jackets for the kids whole family. It really was a perfect getaway for a family with small children. Scott's communication with us was always very friendly and prompt which gave us that extra sense of confidence to feel like we were at our own home. The cottage was fully stocked with any necessities, very clean and the beds were comfortable. We would very much recommend and intend on staying again ourselves in years to come.

Owner response: Thank you Paul for a wonderful review. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay and that you chose my place for your son's first summer in Muskoka. I have a lot of memories up here and am pleased you made some new ones yourselves this summer. I look forward to seeing you all again next summer:) | |

| My wife and I stayed here in August 2022.
My wife and I had our 3.5 and 1.5 year old boys with us. They couldn't have had a better time! LOts of laughs and fun memories.
The view is unmatched. The water is clean and you can walk out about 100 ft and still touch the bottom(I'm 6'3).
Rare to have a still lake cottage also have a sandy beach area for kids to dig and play and build sand castles and fire pit as well. Canoe there as well as two small kids kayaks and some lake floaties for the kids to have fun with.
The cottage itself is an old school cottage with charm and history to it, while actually having updated heating and cooling. We slept comfortably and thermostat is easy to use if you want to change the temperature at all. The view from the dinner table is something you will send pictures home to family. So is the view from the awesome BBQ that is available for use if you want to throw a few steaks on for dinner.
The surrounding area is close by Gravenhurst where there are lots of little shops and ice cream spots and historic Steamship rides. Many small playgrounds and ball diamonds and weekly produce market also in town.
We couldn't think of a better spot for kids and for adults without kids.
We will be back again.
