Welcome to Gem Lake Cottage . This cozy off the grid enchanting space offers the perfect refuge for those seeking to relax & recharge.
*****This is off the grid glamping at its best! There is no WIFI and no functional outlets. We do have solar power to ensure running water and a light for the evening. We also offer an inverter to help recharge small electronic devices (it is not intended to be used to run appliances or electronics). The space can accommodate 6 adults or 4 adults with 2-4 kids.****
Hidden within a valley and natural Canadian rustic beauty, our cottage features freshly updated boho style decor with fresh pops of colour to compliment the serene space, peaceful sunroom and cozy functional wood stove.
Soak in the natural spring fed Gem Lake -completely private and includes paddle boards.
Explore the 11 acres, enjoy evenings under a star light sky, roast marshmallows around a bonfire and listen for the hoots of the bard owl. You might even be lucky and hear the howls of the coyotes.
This is private property. You will not be disturbed, and will have access to your own private lake. The cottage is on a public road off the main highway. Note that the road goes from asphalt to gravel and there can be ATVs on this road, so use caution.
Gem Lake is a natural spring fed lake, and with its luke warm waters, will offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat. It's a great place for swimming!

Guests are required to bring their own linens, pillows and towels.
Upper bunk bed is for kids only - no adults. The sofa bed is a very cozy double, and best suited for small kids.
A water tank provides 1000 L of running water for the shower, faucets and toilet and should provide enough water for up to a week's stay (fees apply if a refill is required within this timeframe).
We provide one complimentary 5 gallon jug of drinking water for cooking and drinking. Water gallon can be swamped for a fee at the local convenience store only 7 minutes drive away.
Hot water is not available, but can be boiled using the propane stove top. The fridge is also propane supplied, ensuring your items remain fresh and cold.
Our shower works, however, will only last 5 minutes before shutting off. There is also no hot water option, however, we do provide two shower bags which can be heated in the sun.
