Off Grid Island Escape

Only 30 minutes from Ottawa/Gatineau, our off grid cottage offers south facing sunset views, wonderful swimming into deep, clear waters and a disconnect under tall pines.

Our island is not connected to electricity We use solar power and propane. There is no septic, but we have a nicely maintained outhouse. There is no road access so renters require a boat license to operate our pontoon boat for transport.

Our lake system has no public access, making it relatively quiet for being so close to town. It is beautifully positioned on what (we think) is the nicest point on the lake.

The main cabin has a bed room with queen sized bed and a kids room with a bunk bed with two twin sized beds. there are two by bunkies each with a double bed.

We have a propane stove, BBQ, solar fridge, solar chargers for small electronics, water pump for running water to the kitchen and a propane powered hot outdoor shower.
