Kennisis Lake- Executive Family Friendly Cottage sits on the pristine waters of Kennisis Lake. In a quiet bay where you are sheltered from high water traffic, all while enjoying the full open water views. The spacious deck is gated on both sides for child and pet safety. This deck houses a beautiful gazebo with a gas fire table as well as a full dining table and lounging chairs. The deck alone boasts the Million Dollar View! There is a gradual and user friendly slope to the water's edge. You can enter either via the stone steps into the water or the user friendly step stairs on the dock. The water is crystal clear in the dock area which is also inviting in itself.

In the evening you can enjoy roasting marshmallows over an open fire at the fire pit by the water. Our favourite is gazing at the breathtaking stars late at night and losing yourself among the stars.

This cottage truly feels like a "Family Cottage". We offer many extra's that you would come to expect from a high end rental, or as we prefer the "Perfect Cottage Vacation Experience". The cottage layout is very family oriented. For the chef's in the family, you will be impressed with everything at your disposal to make the perfect vacation meals.

For rainy days, we have a library of movies and books as well as a nice variety of board games. There is a main TV in the family room and one in the 3rd bedroom with the double/double bunk beds.

Haliburton Forest is just minutes away! The wolf sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit and then there are walking and biking trails for all skillsets.

It was a bit of a drive for us, but it was worth it. The owners were great. The whole place was spotless upon arrival. The large kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with every appliance you can think of. The large gated deck was perfect to contain our dogs when needed, and would be great for young children as well.
The water off the dock is quite shallow, and the bottom is rocky and a bit slippery; something to consider for those with young children.
The cottage was perfect for our needs. We wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

Lynn and Kent were fantastic, she called to let us know that there was a road closure on our way up so we could find an alternate route. Upon arrival, the cottage was everything we hoped it would be and more. The lake was so beautiful and clean, the dock was laid out perfectly to watch the kids play at the waters edge or enjoy the beautiful sunrises. Having the Marina right up the road was fantastic and Haliburton wolf reserve and forest just a short drive away was great for hiking. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wow, can't say enough about the wonderful time my family and I had at this cottage. Lynn and Kent provided everything we needed and were great to deal with. The cottage is in a nice sheltered cove that is perfect for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. The terrain is very even so it is so easy to be at the water and then back up to the cottage. The cottage was spacious and perfectly clean! We can't wait to go back to this peaceful retreat and highly recommend it for other couples and families

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage. The lake is gorgeous. The cottage is exactly as pictures show but better. Everything is extremely clean and there were so many extras to help make the stay comfortable and cozy. The owners do a wonderful job at adding little touches to enhance your stay. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It's a great cottage for all ages. Lynn was so kind and lovely to communicate with via the booking process. We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation :)

I cannot say enough great things about this cottage. We have been renting for 4 years now and this is by far the best we have stayed at. It is exactly as described but even better to be honest.
It had everything we were looking for and needed. We had 6 adults and two small dogs and were very comfortable. Kitchen and great room are amazing. Water front beautiful.
Extremely clean and well maintained.
Lynn was quick to respond to any questions or concerns and truly cares about her guests satisfaction.
We will definitely be returning to this beautiful cottage.
