YOUR PRIVATE PARADISE Cedar Springs is centrally located on Manitoulin Island near the Town of Mindemoya. The cottage offers the perfect family getaway with tons to do and memories to make. Cedar Springs is a rare and authentic early 1950s cedar log palisade cottage with all the modern upgrades you could want. Your unique rental consists of a main cottage, a bunkie and a shower house, each having a bathroom. Cedar Springs sleeps maximum 8 (best for 6 adults and 2 children under 14 years of age). The stunning property is located at the end of a private road which is easily accessible. No worries about traffic/ cars zipping past your cottage or between the cottage and the lake. There is ample free parking. You will love how private your relaxing retreat is.
The fire pit, great fishing (there is a public boat launch just down the bay), free canoeing and the many nearby Island attractions (Golf Course in Mindemoya, Cup & Saucer hiking trail and lookout, Bridal Veil Falls hiking trail, Providence Bay Beach, Split Rail Brewing Company in Gore Bay and SO much more) will all make for an unforgettable stay. Come do everything or nothing at all.
The cottage is only steps from the lake; you won't find one closer. The cocktail deck, which has plenty of seating, is built right over the crystal clear and warm waters of Lake Manitou. Swim from the new dock (water is the perfect depth) or sit and sip your morning Joe while enjoying the stunning sunrise and views. You do you.
From whitetail deer to bald eagles, otters, ducks, beaver and so much more, there is wildlife everywhere. You will never forget the call of the loons. And, again, the fishing is great (bass, lake trout, speckled trout, perch, pickerel/walleye).
Cedar Springs comes fully-equipped: sheets & linens, bathroom towels (but please bring your own swim towels), pots and pans, coffee maker, bbq, picnic table, clothesline, smart tv with Netflix, Wi-Fi, a working wood fireplace, filtered/UV water supply and more. For the rainy days there are plenty of board games and a fun arcade video table with 40 games.
Rental includes use of one 14 foot canoe, paddles, 2 adult-size life jackets. ***please bring your own child-size life jackets.
We are dog-friendly, with restrictions.

NOT to be tied to cocktail deck or dock in windy or rough conditions or overnight - trailer your boat out at the end of your day. NO all-terrain vehicles. NOTES MAX 8 People. BEDS: The cottage sleeps 6 adults and 2 children under the age of 14. The bunk beds in the Bunkie are REGULAR Twins. The upper bed in Bedroom #2 in the Main Cottage is a SMALL Twin, ONLY suitable for a smaller child. We do not supply extra cots. Our cottage books weekly from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in Time: 4:00 PM Check-out Time: 9:30 AM We require 50% deposit to firm booking. All rates are weekly. PETS: DO NOT bring any pets without first discussing it with us first AT BOOKING. PET FEE is $50.00 per pet. Garbage/recycle pick-up continues each Saturday. We require a $500.00 refundable security deposit due 7 days prior to your check-in, refunded within 7 business days (or sooner) after check-out (if no damage).
