Nolan

My family stayed at this beautiful cottage just after New Year's. Each of us had our own well appointed rooms, each perfectly decorated to make you feel like you're in a real cottage (to match their log cabin feel). The fireplace was well-stocked with wood and was so nice in the evenings and when first waking up. The hosts greeted us and we're extremely friendly and attentive at the beginning of our stay to answer questions. I would not hesitate to stay here again! We even saw a deer cross the road right in front of us.. also, close to ammennities in/near Haliburton.

We had a wonderful stay at the Rustic Star Retreat over Christmas. From the beginning, the communication was excellent with fast replies, detailed information and thoroughly answered questions. The cottage itself is beautiful! Many cozy details that made it feel so 'homey'. It feels very private as it's set high off the road with the most beautiful view of the lake and surroundings. The fireplace is a stunning and warm center piece, easy to use and the owners provide an abundance of firewood.The hottub is a fun added bonus! The entire place is thoroughly equipped with everything you may need. Throughout our stay the owners went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and quickly resolved an external issue due to weather. The location is great, and nearby are a few easily accessible areas to participate in winter activities such as snow shoeing, skiing etc. All around, great stay and would highly recommend!!
