Waterfront

Pheasant Run, on 6.4 acres, is a rare gem tucked away on the waterfront in a very quiet area. It offers privacy and seclusion, yet is close to Liverpool and Bridgewater. A short drive will take you to the communities of Lunenburg, a UNESCO world heritage site, Mahone Bay and Chester. Halifax is 1.5 hours away.
This is an open concept chalet style home with soaring wood ceilings, pine floors, a 2 storey fieldstone fireplace and a large picture window offering unobstructed views of the water. The very private peaceful setting with stonewalls, fruit trees and natural gardens lay before you as the land gently slopes to the 550 ft. of water frontage of the property. A private dock is available for your use giving easy access to great canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing and swimming.
Warm and inviting, this delightful Nova Scotia holiday rental is the perfect place for your next family vacation. With a casual style, this chalet has a relaxed and comfortable ambiance. An eclectic mix of traditional and modern pieces creates an easy-going, welcoming atmosphere. The moment you walk in the front door you will instantly fall into "vacation mode"!
The main level features a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge, stove, microwave, coffeemaker etc) opens to a large dining area that will easily accommodate a large family gathering, oceanfront living room with fireplace insert, an enclosed sunroom, a large bedroom (King), and separate powder room and shower room. Upstairs is a bedroom (double), office (internet) and common area. The lower level features 2 large bedrooms (Queen & King), a full bathroom and a laundry room (with washer & dryer and 2nd fridge). There is also a large walkout deck that is great for entertaining - with propane BBQ, Adirondack chairs, sun awning and a picture perfect view, this is a spot that you will want to spend time.

Pheasant Run is the ideal setting for anyone wishing to get away from the "Rat Race". Set on the edge of a lake with spectacular views from the sun lounges, this 4 bedroomed timber dwelling offers peace and tranquillity. A car is essential for visiting local shops, (Liverpool), and nearby beautiful beaches.
We were lucky to see, Seals and also a couple of visits in the garden by a Porcupine. The two loungers at the bottom of the garden are ideal for relaxing and observing the wild life on the lake.

Dear Terry
Thank you for your kind words. Please do call when you are back in the area - we would love to have you stay with us again.
Best wishes
Karen

Lovely, lofty lodge, somewhat in a chalet style, with spacious bedrooms and lots of comfortably-furnished areas where our extended family could gather and go about various activities without falling over each other. Isolated woodland location on tthe estuary of Medway River with a dock from which you can dive in comfortably at high tide. A good base from which to explore the south shore with its beaches, hiking trails and small towns. All this plus helpful introduction to the house and surroundings by friendly and informative concierge.

Dear Ian
Thank you for your kind words. We are pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay at Pheasant Run.
Kind regards
Karen

We were absolutely delighted by Pheasant Run. A very comfortable, spotlessly clean house with four big bedrooms; a very functional, thoughtfully equipped kitchen; lots of living space; and, best of all, a huge deck that wrapped around the cottage and provided lovely views of the water and the beautifully landscaped yard running down to it. We spent many hours relaxing in the comfortable chairs, just staring at the view, which included not only the water but osprey and eagles as well as a porcupine--and one pheasant!

The setting was very private and peaceful, even on the Canada Day weekend--one of our group did yoga on the floating dock every morning. The location was ideal--less than half an hour to at least half a dozen gorgeous beaches, many of which are among the best in Nova Scotia. Port Medway and Mill Village, both of which have well-stocked general stores, are a short drive away, and the larger towns of Liverpool and Bridgewater are easily accessible for grocery runs and other supplies (BTW, we can recommend the seafood from the fish truck in Bridgewater).

Hectorine, who met us at the house when we checked in, was very friendly and gave us a thorough tutorial on the place, and Karen provided a thoughtful and very useful gift bag on our arrival.

We had a lovely stay, and we agreed we would happily have spent the summer at Pheasant Run. I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to friends.
