This beautiful log house sits on a private, well-manicured 3 acre property just outside of Sherbrooke. It has 230ft. of waterfront on an arm of the St. Mary's River (looks like a small lake) where you can set off in the canoe, roast hotdogs in the beachside fire-pit, go for a swim or enjoy some fishing, no license required. A 3-seater canoe and adult life jackets are provided. With 3 bedrooms (1queen, 1 double, and 1 double/ twin bunk bed) 2 hide-a-beds (1 queen, 1 double) and 2 bathrooms, this house can easily accomodate up to 8 people. The large, open concept living, dining and kitchen area is a great gathering place for your family and friends. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots/pans, microwave, coffee maker, blender, slow-cooker, electric fry pan and more! Relax with your morning coffee on the large wrap-around deck while you take in beautiful views of the St. Mary's river and have a BBQ after your day's adventures, listen to the loons and plan the next amazing day!(Minimum 3-day rentals and rental season is May 1-Oct 31).
Nearby is the Historic Sherbrooke Village, where you can see what life was like in a Nova Scotian village of the 1800's. A half- hour drive will take you to the Port Bickerton Lighthouse Museum and surrounding hiking trails or to the amazing restaurant at Liscomb Lodge and more hiking. It is a short 15 minute drive to Port Hilford Beach on the Atlantic Ocean or an hour drive to the beautiful beaches near Antigonish. Take in some live theatre performances throughout the summer, put on by Festival Antigonish, and experience the events and music of the Antigonish Highland Games. Golfers can choose from the nearby Red Hill Golf Course or the Antigonish Golf and Country Club. Whether you are looking for hiking, fishing, sea kayaking or fine dining, you won't have far to go! And for those thrill seekers, a day trip to the Shebunacadie River for tidal bore white-water rafting is not to be missed!

| Everything was as advertised. After the big storms prior to our arrival the access road down to the water was washed out. The owners had a local contractor arrive on the Monday and the road was repaired and we were able to drive down.very enjoyable.we totally enjoyed our time at the beautiful log house. Very clean and spacious and everything we needed plus was there. Beautiful views from the deck of the river below. Hated to leave. Definitely recommend it. 5 plus stars.

| By far our favourite cottage we have rented. It's difficult to find a location this nice that's also secluded and has access to great water. This was our 2nd stay here because we have not found a location as great of a fit as this one. The owners are very welcoming and communicate well. Everything was as expected and advertised. Highly recommend this cottage!

| We had an amazing time! Weather was great so we were able to take advantage of the canoe and BBQ everyday. Cabin was very easy to find and it was very clean. There's lots of room for activities and all the comforts of home. There was only one thing that I didn't like... leaving. I'll definitely be going back again, only next time for longer!

| This beautiful spot must be seen in person to truly be appreciated. A completely private location we enjoyed our stay here immensely. It has all the amenities you need plus private access to a lake. It was very clean and spacious and the owners were fantastic to coordinate our stay with. We cannot wait to book this spot again for next year.
