Park Place on the lake is a recently renovated A-frame cottage nestled directly on the serene shores of Young Lake, a smaller spring fed lake, part of the Kawartha Lakes region which offers a gentle sandy bottom and warm temperatures. It's perfect for wade in swimming and paddling with the use of our provided kayaks, canoe or paddle board. Enjoy the tranquility on the private dock just steps away from the cottage as you sip your morning coffee or watch the breathtaking sunsets overlooking the lake with the western facing shoreline. Cozy up around the fire pit, toast marshmallows and share stories while soaking up the serene views of the lake.
Step into the A-frame and immerse yourself into a beautifully designed interior with stylish decor that seamlessly blends vintage and contemporary elements. The newly renovated kitchen sets the tone, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals throughout your stay. Indulge in the luxury gold utensils, alongside essentials like a fridge, electric stove, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker and a french press. Help yourself to the complimentary coffees, teas, matcha and hot chocolate as well as a variety of spices, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Cooking in this kitchen is a dream with the views of the lake pouring in. Gather around the round wooden table, comfortably seating four to enjoy your meals inside.
From the kitchen, you are greeted into the vaulted, open concept living area, featuring floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the lake. The living area has comfortable seating including a spacious luxury leather couch and two mid-century modern armchairs. Stay cozy with an assortment of blankets to snuggle up with and catch a show or movie on the 50? television with chromecast feature. The coffee table trunk reveals an abundance of cards, puzzles and board games to provide endless hours of fun and quality time with your loved ones.
The A-frame features 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect one for you. The most loved is the spacious private master loft which hosts a comfortable queen bed with breathtaking views of the lake. The main floor offers a welcoming guest bedroom with a cozy double bed alongside an additional bedroom offering two twin-sized beds, perfect for the kids. The cottage comfortably accommodates six guests.
The newly renovated main floor bathroom is sure to please with a lovely walk in, fully tiled shower with high end professional shampoo, conditioner and body wash, fluffy white towels, hairdryer and comes fully equipped with a washer and dryer for the convenience of your stay.
Stepping out of the cottage through the sliding doors, you are greeted by the very spacious deck, the ideal spot for relaxing and sharing moments with family and friends, which provide ample seating with an eight seat glass and wicker patio set, complimented by two wooden tamarack chairs, perfect for sunning along with a Weber propane BBQ for outdoor cooking.
Walking down the deck stairs you are greeted by the welcoming outdoor fire pit area which include four muskoka chairs offering a welcoming space to enjoy the stunning lake views and the private dock only steps away.
If you wish to catch some shade on those sunny days, the spacious back deck has you covered. Lounge in the hammock or relax on another set of wooden tamarack chairs under the towering trees above. It's also the perfect spot for sipping coffee and taking in the sun's morning rays. Both decks are strung with string lights that add a magical touch to the ambiance.
The property is nestled on a 50x400' lot, providing plenty of green space in the backyard, perfect to enjoy lawn games.

~ Water levels in the Kawarthas fluctuate from season to season but the overall landscape is similar and still keeps the water safe
~ There is no boat launch on the property
~Wood is free to use if present on fire rack next to cottage, otherwise wood bags available for purchase at Sebright General store
~Full range of life jackets available in storage box on deck but bring your own to be sure for your own safety. Water shoes also available for guest use
~ All guests must wear a life jacket while operating any boat, including kayaks, canoe and paddle board and guests assume all risks when conducting any activities on the property
~ Please put away dry life jackets, water shoes and patio cushions in the deck box
~ We have neighbors, please be respectful as we value those relationships
~ Guests have access to entire house and yard (50'x400') as well as the local community park ~2 min walk to childrens park, library, pavilion, horseshoe pit, green space, dock on the water
~ kindly note there is poison ivy in the wooded area at back of our property
