| Fantastic cottage. The view is amazing! The cottage is very well equipped. Lots of different seating spaces. I loved the outdoor shower.
Be prepared for stairs but so worth it. The water area is also well set up.

| An excellent experience from booking to checkout.
David is a class act, extremely personable and provides a very organized and informative checkin/checkout process.
I have rented multiple cottages in the past and this one was by far the most simple and enjoyable for the administrative aspects and stay.
Now, on to the cottage…
Perched high above Charleston Lake, the views are amazing, with ample seating to have your morning coffee on the deck, a brand new higher end BBQ, perfect for cooking.
The hot tub was nice and clean and occupied the kids for hours as they could sit and enjoy the jets while watching all the action on the lake.
The outdoor shower is fully stocked and is very useful with kids to keep the wet clothes and showering outside after swimming or hut tub.
A cozy seating area outside with patio lights is perfect for listening to the crickets chirp or enjoy a beer and conversation.
The inside of the cottage is very well kept, and extremely spacious (we were a group of 6). WIFI was great.
Bedrooms are large and two bathrooms were perfect to split up the group.
The kitchen has more supplies than our own house and you could bake or cook anything you wanted because the pans/pots are all there. Two fridges!
Laundry was such a bonus and made for a nice departure having clean clothes to bring home and less work when you get back.
Stairs, you can't have a view without them, 88 year old mother had no complaints. See you next year!

| This was our third summer renting this cottage, and each year has been just as amazing as the last!
Our family of four, along with my sister-in-law's family of four, stayed comfortably together — the cottage has more than enough space for two families. The layout is perfect for both relaxing and spending quality time together, whether you're enjoying meals, games, or just lounging around.
David, the host, is absolutely wonderful — always friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. He makes the whole rental process smooth and stress-free.
And of course, the view from the house is simply breathtaking. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or watching the sunset, the scenery never gets old.
We've made so many great memories here and can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway!

| We had a wonderful family reunion at Highland House - 8 of us - 5 adults and three children and the sleeping arrangements were great - the younger ones loved being near their parents in the upstairs bedroom with a queen bed and two twins in an alcove. Our German relatives were very impressed with the amazing view of the lake. The deck was spacious and the easy access to kayaks and canoes meant lots of fun water time and kayak races. Kids loved their evening hot tub soak. David is a very accommodating host and offered a later check in and checkout which was very appreciated.
Great spot - highly recommend - the birthday boy who turned 12 is already requesting a return for his next birthday.

| As a Director for several international luxury resorts in Asia, this cottage is beyond anything we expected. It is not just an accommodation, but a destination in itself! Dave and Lieu are truly wonderful hosts and the cottage is well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchenware to entertainment and recreation activities, with a sweet touch of the Lee hospitality. There are more than enough rooms and comfortable beds for 8 people. The generous living space with floor-to-ceiling window opens up to this amazing out-of-the-movie lake view that you'll wake up to every morning. There are also different areas for outdoor hangout spots that you and your group can enjoy separately. The outdoor shower and hot tub are a must-try! Going down to a private dock, there are plenty life jackets and a variety of kayak, canoe, boats, floaties and floating platforms to choose from. I recommend you venture out in the lake and enjoy the haunting tunes of the loons and birds chirping amidst the serenity of nature. You can also enjoy a lovely outdoor BBQ or even an evening of roasted marshmallow over the campfire! (you'll need to inform the host in advance.) Local amenities (supermarket, liquor store, restaurants, etc) are just 10 minutes away so it is very convenient to grab whatever you forget and need, and you can travel light! I highly recommend this cottage if you're looking for a place to stay and enjoy a truly Canadian experience! We'll surely be back again!!! :D
