| This summer was our 2nd time visiting the Hemlock Cottage. Voted by popular demand to return once again. The cottage and property are beautifully maintained and easily accommodated our group of 7 guests.
Lots of good swimming and water activities to keep kids busy, lots of relaxing places for the adults.
Both stays the cottage and lake have been quiet and peaceful, with incredible sunsets. Ron and Pauline are exceptional hosts, and make some damn good maple syrup. Highly recommend visiting, you better book before we do!

| My husband and I keep coming back to Hemlock Cottage, and for good reason! Ron and Pauline are amazing hosts. They are also constantly doing upgrades to the cottage. This year, we appreciated the convenience of the new washer/dryer and new shower. The outdoor setup is perfect with multiple seating areas to enjoy the fresh air and stunning sunsets. Plus, if you love to fish like my husband, you will be thrilled with the walleye, bass, pike, and lake trout. It truly gets better with every stay!!

| We had a great week at Hemlock cottage! The cottage itself was very clean, spacious with all the cooking tools/utensils you need. You basically have the bay to yourself, it's so nice and quiet. The lake is very clean, no weeds and a nice shallow walk in which is perfect for smaller kids. Use of kayaks, canoe and tin boat was enjoyed by all of us. We just added our own floaties.
Pauline and Ron are great, so nice to chat with and their homemade maple syrup was a hit with everyone. Highly recommend this cottage.

| We had a fabulous time at Hemlock cottage! The cottage is very well equipped and very spacious and comfortable. I cant help but agree with everything the last review said( and others)! We enjoyed many meals on the deck and enjoyed reading and relaxing on the other decks. The water front is wonderful... great for swimming and relaxing in the adirondack chairs. The lake is quiet which is what we were hoping for. The kayaks, canoe and paddle boats were great to access and evening paddles were part of our routine. The cottage is also not far from Maynooth that is a fun town with many vintage shops and great cafe ( get there early in day so you can indulge in the delicious donuts!). Pauline and Ron were great hosts and responded quickly to any questions we had. The kitchen is well supplied including herbs and spices. We hope to return in the future! thanks also for the yummy maple syrup. We had a memorable awesome relaxing week away! thank you so much!!!

| I can't say enough good things about our stay at Hemlock Cottage. The cottage itself is clean and roomy, with an amazingly well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and big-screen TV. Access to filtered water in the kitchen was a bonus and made cooking so much easier.
We spent the mornings on the deck, listening to the chorus of birds, the sounds of frogs from the lake, watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and counting butterflies. We spent a lot of time on that deck and on the lookout deck, reading, writing and relaxing, when we weren't down at the lake.
The lake itself is stunning. Quiet and beautiful, with stone stairs leading into the sandy lake. It is shallow, without a steep drop-off, so perfect for small children. Our kids, aged 11 and 8, adored splashing and playing in the lake. It is free of weeds, rocks and grime. The dock is lovely, too, with four sturdy Muskoka chairs, perfect for reading, relaxing and watching the sunset.
We made use of the kayaks and peddle-boat and enjoyed paddling around this quiet lake. There are also some sand toys, boogie boards and pool noodles available for use, which the kids loved. Life jackets in different sizes are also available.
Ron and Pauline were kind, helpful and friendly hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Their homemade maple syrup was amazing!
We left our week away feeling completely refreshed and rested and are already planning our next visit. Hemlock Cottage is a keeper!
