| Cottage is great, easy to access Bruce Peninsula, but the lake is so disappointing: a review in 3 parts.
Cottage (5/5): exactly as advertised, it's beautiful, well equipped and the layout is fantastic, creating private areas for all bedroom areas. Huge deck, some parts covered for rain or shade, nice big property.
Location (5/5): right in the middle of the Bruce Peninsula, it's very easy to get to Black Creek Provincial Park (Sandy Beach), Grotto, Tobermory and Flower Pot Island tours, Lion's Head, various hiking trails, etc.
Miller Lake (2/5): honestly, the lake itself is by far the biggest disappointment. Half our party loves swimming and it should be clearly stated in the ad that this lake is not for swimming - at all. Whole bay in front of cottage has tons of weeds and a bottom that is a mix of clay and mud, when you step in it, your foot sinks 6 inches in and it's like suction trying to pull it out. Didn't spot a single person swimming all week long and asked dozens of locals, they confirmed that you just don't swim here. For some folks, swimming isn't important and it's no big deal - kayaks, pedal boat, and row boat allow you to get on the water. For us, we just straight up wouldn't have booked it / would have booked elsewhere. Beach at Lion's Head was good, but extremely cold the day we went. Beach at Sandy Beach / Black Creek Provincial Park saved the week for us - it's gorgeous. Fishing is mixed, some small catches but # of weeds meant 80% of casts weeded

Réponse proprio: I am sorry that your vacation did not meet your expectations. I have amended our listing to reflect the swimming conditions. If swimming is one of your top priorities at the cottage, I would reccomend inquiring about the lake composition prior to booking your next rental. | |

| We had a fantastic time at this cottage! We used Jon and Erica's cottage rental on Miller Lake for our family weekend, 5-6 adults and one toddler. The house itself is very nicely decorated, with large bedrooms, and plenty of washrooms for everyone. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival, the beds were very comfortable, and the neighbourhood was quiet. Plenty of parking space, and a garage for storing larger items was very nice to have.
The shoreline in front of the cottage was great for all age groups, with a beautiful dock, easily used for fishing or launching kayaks or other lake toys. The lake view is gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time birdwatching, gazing at the dragonflies, and trying to catch fish. We even had a family of 19 ducklings come visit us several time!
The kitchen is very well equipped, and we cooked all but one meal at the cottage all weekend. The campfire pit is huge and lovely! Definitely enough room for everyone to cook spider dogs and marshmallows at the same time. The wrap around deck on the house was fantastic to sit and relax in the shade or sun.
I would highly recommend this rental; communication with Jon and Erica was always prompt and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, and will definitely be returning!

| Beautiful! 6 of us stayed for 7 nights in July. The cottage was so clean, bright and spacious with lots of room to sit and talk or play games with family and friends, watch a movie or sports on satellite or a catch up on a series on Netflix, or to just chill out on the couches and chairs to read a book in the loft or fully finished basement. The large partially covered deck had great views of Miller Lake. It also really came in handy when it rained. The yard is spacious with tons of room. I never got tired of fishing off the dock. The Kayaks, Row Boat, bicycles were all provided for and in excellent condition, so there was no need to lug ours up there. Campfire wood was also provided which was an added bonus. Loved sitting by the campfire catching up, listening to the loons or just simply watching the stars shine. Loved how peaceful and quiet it was. There is a small public park with a boat ramp next door, but you barely noticed people launching boats from there. The people that came by were usually just out for a quick walk having a short rest to look at the lake Close drive to Singing Sands Beach, Black Creek Provincial Park, Bruce Peninsula National Park, Lions Head, Stokes Bay, Tobermory. Both the main floor and basement kitchens had everything we needed to cook up a storm and store what food we brought up with us. Would recommend bringing your own water because it did not taste the best. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

| We absolutely loved our stay here and so did our family. The cottage is beautiful and offers everything you need, with lots of space (we had 5 adults and 2 kids) for everyone to enjoy. Being right on the water is a huge plus for us and the boats available to use were just an added plus! 100% would come back to stay again.

| Our extended family spent the most wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at Miller Shore Lake House. This beautiful cottage provides all the modern comfort with plenty of space for everyone. The property is extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It is a rare gem in a sea of options; we plan to be back soon, and hopefully stay longer than just a long weekend.
