| A week after the winter solstice we were at the cottage for three days. Found it quite comfortable though one of the teenagers said his couch bed was saggy. The power failed ? as it often does in cottage county in the winter? but it was for only three hours and in the daytime. The woodburning heater kept us warm. Advice: keep your mobile phones charged and have the makings for a sandwich or other cold meal. A pleasant few days of food and walking and books and a huge crossword that everyone joined in. We'd rent again.
