| Thus was our second time renting the cottage plus I've already booked for summer 2026. The view from the deck is amazing. The swimming is exceptional and the kayaking is outstanding Liz goes out of her way to be available for whatever you need plus she might drop off some ice cream just because. Paul, one of the neighbors , always stops by to see if everything's alright and his dog Blue might show up if you're eating I highly recommend Paddlers Rest The town of Westport is minutes away for groceries, bakery. Ice cream and restaurants you'll love you stay

| This was our 3rd year renting Paddler's Rest and it is delightful. Liz is a wonderful host who anticipates and tends to her guests every need. The cottage is modern, clean, and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the view from the deck is stunning. Swimming from the dock is fabulous and the fishing is great, especially for the grandkids who caught and released several Bass in the 2 - 3 lb. range as well as many smaller Bass, Sunfish, and Perch. Access to the dock from the cottage could be improved as it as fairly steep and uneven, especially for the older folks.

| We enjoyed our stay at the Paddler's Rest cottage for the second year in a row. The interior is lovely and very functional, although the best features for us are outside: the awesome deck, the good swimming conditions, and the great options for touring Buck Lake in our kayaks.
Liz is a great host, very responsive when a couple of little issues needed sorting.

| We had a great week at Paddler's Rest. The cottage is beautiful with lots of space for sleeping, playing games, eating or just plain lounging around. The deck is huge and this is where we spent a majority of our time. The lake is peaceful and quiet. The fishing was fantastic although we mostly caught smaller fish lol. The dock is perfect to catch those afternoon sun rays. Blue, the neighbour's dog is a welcome, unexpected addition where you get a part time pet with no responsibilities lol. Liz is a wonderful host who was attentive to our needs. You will not be disappointed if you rent this cottage.

| Our vacation at Paddler's Rest in August was truly outstanding! Besides arranging for fantastic weather, Liz is a superlative host who ensured that our every need and desire was satisfied. Accompanied by our children and grandchildren, we thoroughly enjoyed the lake, Westport (Ice cream, pizza at the winery, the beach) and the locks at Newboro. The two grandsons caught many fish and enjoyed our neighbour Paul's swim raft and diving board as well as their beautiful hound dog Blue. We are very much looking forward to our week next year.
