Scott

We stayed for a short getaway at the end of the season 2020, and had such a peaceful time. The cottage had everything we needed (including a stack of dvd movies!) It was rustic enough to feel like an authentic cottaging experience, but clean and well kept (the pictures on the ad are accurate.)
We hope to return when Covid restrictions are lifted so we can experience more of what the beautiful area offers.

We have stayed at Sunset Haven three times now and are looking forward to our fourth. The cottage makes a great base to do things from in the Tobermory area. The kayaking in the area is fantastic and there are lots of places to walk just outside the door. It's just the place to get away from it all with everything that we need.

We had an excellent time at the sunset haven. The whole experience from booking to departing and everything in between was very simple. Chris and his wife were excellent hosts and were only a text/phone call away (and in some instances, just a doorstep away) if need be. The cottage itself was exactly as described in the ad and the pictures measured up too. Chris was extremely helpful with things to do and see in and around tobermory and knew of hidden gems where there's be less tourists.
The proximity to downtown was perfect and made biking in a breeze. The little bay that this cottage is located in is very quaint and private. The water temp was actually quite bearable too!
All in all, we had a great time and we'll definitely be coming back in the future!

The location of this cottage was amazing. The cove has great swimming. I was a bit worried about there being multiple units but this was no issue at all. We had our own space and we hardly saw our neighbours at all. We had a great peaceful vacation.
