| Let's get the negatives out of the way. While there is an AC unit, it only connects to one of the bedrooms. So you might want to bring fans in the summer. The water in the house is also highly questionable, having a yellow hue. The owners provide drinking water, but you might not want to take a shower. There's also a feral cat on the property and while I never saw it, there is a bunch of cat poop on the lawn, which is an issue if you have kids or a dog with you.
That said the house and the property is much bigger than I expected. The kitchen is fully stocked so you don't need to bring much else besides food. The house is clean and had a few places where people could gather and hang out. The property is very private, with the back yard enclosed by trees. The only other person I saw was one of the owners doing some yardwork next door. Had plenty of firewood and enjoyed sitting out at night. Price is pretty darn good too and they had no issues at all with us bringing a dog and letting him do dog things (so long as we cleaned up naturally).
All in all if you're looking for a weekend get away, this is a really good property and I'm already considering going back for a guy's night. Though with the AC and the water (which might be beyond the owner's control) a longer stay might be less comfortable, depending on your preferences and when you're going. I know they're in the middle of some renovations, so could be some of these issues might be getting a fix in the near future.

Réponse proprio: Thank you for the feedback, The A/C issue has been resolved. We have added another unit to service the large area of the cottage. Water is safe and we have it tested twice a year, but the colour is not great and varies with weather. This is why we provide drinking water to all of our guests. The ferral cat has left to property but the poop is from Canada geese that land (out of our control unfortunately) We are glad you enjoyed the private spot and we are constantly trying to improve since we use the cottage mostly in the fall.
