| A summer getaway to the country.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon and drove down the driveway ( lots of parking) and let ourselves in by way of the lock box. The owner had previously emailed the code and some suggestions locally for groceries and things to do. The cottage looks like it has been recently updated throughout. Has a huge bathroom and really appreciated the walk out to the rear deck that spans the entire width of the cottage. It has 3 comfy bedrooms but since it was just the wife and and our dog we only used one. One of the bedrooms is set up bank bed style. The A/C system kept the cottage comfortable on the hottest days/nights. We spent most of our time on the deck and took most of our meals at the table on the deck. The walkout door from the kitchen was another good idea. The covered area was great for when the sun got to be to much we even sat out one rainy evening and enjoyed the show. The nice big yard is a plus if you have kids or a dog. The lake access was little more weedy than we would have liked but won't stop you from using the water toys supplied. It was an enjoyable getaway from the city but still close enough to the comforts of home. (Tim's, groceries, shopping, restaurants) all within a 30 min drive. The owner was very helpful and reached out during our stay to make sure all was good.
