| We spent a lovely week in August at this beautiful, private property on Little Doe Lake. Our dogs had a blast roaming the open space as they ran from the cottage to the shoreline, out to the point, and back again. The small beach is perfect. There were plenty of chairs and loungers for seating along with umbrellas to offer a bit of shade. We enjoyed the kayaks, the paddle boards, and the canoe. The fire pit (with wood and Muskoka chairs provided) was great fun. There is a Valu-Mart in Burk's Falls?a 10-minute drive away. Preparing and eating meals with our larger group was easy. The kitchen is a good size and stocked with absolutely everything you could ever need! There is a long table for eating inside and another outside on the deck. The beds were very comfortable. We were grateful for the two bathrooms and for the washer and dryer. Such a bonus! Everything is clean and well-organized. There isn't Wi-Fi but the cell service is excellent. One small thing to note is that the television does not have an HDMI port. We have a lot of data so we were ready to use that for Netflix, etc. during the bit of rainy weather that we had. There is a collection of DVDs. David, the owner, has a cottage next door. He is helpful, responsive, and cares a great deal about the comfort of his guests. We would love to see this property be a 7-night rental. We plan to go back to David's super Little Doe Lake cottage!
