A really beautiful spot on Lake Kawagama, we had a fabulous week even though the weather didn't completely co-operate. The cottage and grounds were excellent with plenty to keep the children and adults entertained. There were some great hikes nearby including the Bear Lake Lookout and Dorest Fire-tower for when the weather wasn't so dock friendly. We had a blast in a wonderful cottage.

We stayed at Driftwood Cottage for a week in July and had an amazing time. The cottage is so perfectly situated on an island at the quiet end of the lake that we almost felt like we had the whole thing to ourselves! The cottage is perfectly sized for 2 families and it is in great shape with modern appliances, plenty of fresh air, and a cozy feel. The water is clean and clear and very refreshing- the kids LOVED playing on the LilyPad mattress! There is plenty of sitting room in side and out, although you will definitely need lots of bug spray!
Getting to the island was easy via a water taxi and the staff at the marina were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was well stocked with all the essentials and we didn't want for anything during our stay. The pizza oven was a really nice touch and we made good use of it after bringing in a pizza from a local shop in Dorset.
I would highly recommend Driftwood Cottage for anyone looking for an exceptionally serene and peaceful break from city life!
