"Thank you for a wonderful two weeks. This is the most comfortable and best equipped cottage we have stayed at. We enjoyed your tips on things to do and places to go, and the swimming was very enjoyable. Sunsets were outstanding -- better than it was possible to imagine. Lots to see and do in the area and yet peaceful and quiet. You've been wonderful hosts. Of the various places we've stayed over the years this is the only one we would consider returning to. Thanks again. Pat S. and Judy G.

Hi Jan, Yes I did receive the security check; but have not gotten around to cashing it yet; but will likely do so tonight. I have been meaning to email you and let you know we had a great stay and would come again if we decide to vacation in the valley again! Thanks again, we had a great time! Mark C.
(Returning this summer): Thanks jan. It's a nice cozy and comfortable cottage in a very friendly community on a lovely part of the river. Nice beach. i have mostly been very happy with it. The power outage is not something any of us could have predicted or controlled. the bar-b-que was indeed very useful. Susan M.

| Our family of 4 spent a week at the crows nest and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our kids (3, 5) loved playing in the sand, collecting "gems", swimming in the shallow water, picking up the clams, going on the pedal boat and row boat, and exploring nearby caves! We had such a relaxing week and had everything we needed close by. The shop nearby was well stocked in the event you forgot something and the restaurant "La Gare" was cozy and made you feel welcome. Pembroke is close enough to if you needed a bigger shop! Sunsets were just amazing and the entire area was just peaceful. Great view of the sunsets by the firepit - only downfall is there wasn't any seats around the firepit (we got outdoor folding chairs in Pembroke). The cottage itself was great and well stocked with everything you might need for your stay. Cell reception was fantastic at the cottage for making calls or checking for directions but no internet which to us was a bonus because we really got away from all the screens (even the kids didn't mind not having a tablet). Kari was responsive the entire time and seemed happy to answer all questions. She returned the security deposit quickly and no need to ask about it. Just amazing and the kids are already asking to go back next summer

| Great memories made here! Cottage was exactly as advertised. We have a family of 4 with a very tall teenager and the sleeping arrangements worked well with the pull out couch. Beautiful sunsets led to awesome fires every night. The water was great for swimming and fishing. My kids want to come back next year to try the full day at Fort Cologne! (Highly recommended zip lining /obstacle corse.) Only warning....do not eat the Chesley buns from the bakery in Chapeau....they are addictive! A great place to relax. A hotspot works if you have a teen that needs a bit of screen time. Lots of great places to bike. Will come back for sure!

| To say we had a wonderful family vacation at Crows Nest is an understatement! The location is simply perfect for a relaxing family friendly getaway!
The cottage is well equipped, Kari was so helpful and the neighbours in the surrounding cottages were just lovely!
The water and beach area is perfect especially for a little one, we really enjoyed taking the paddle boat out.
There is lots to do in the surrounding area of Pembroke and Petawawa (be sure to check out Petawawa point beach too)
We enjoyed our evenings with a fire on the beach watching the most amazing sunsets!
You won't be disappointed Isle Allumette is a gem! Also- be sure to check out Karl's bakery in Chapeau!! The Chelsea bread is incredible.

| Great get away to Crows Nest Cottage week of Aug 22-Aug 29. Wonderful /quiet/secluded location for relaxing get away. Our grandchildren enjoyed the amenities offered at the beach(shallow water, soft sand) & playing "pirates" with the paddle-boat.
The cottage is close enough to Pembroke & Petawawa to take advantage of walking trails, parks and "local coffee shops and other shopping .
Being across the river from Petawawa was a thrill for my grandsons; seeing the "soldier helicopters" flying by.
Thank you for the privilege of using Crows Nest during this time period.

| Crows Nest Cottage was just what we needed. It is a home away from home. The location is amazing as it is isolated but close enough to a large town to get anything you need. It is located on a property with three other cottages but you feel like you have the entire place to yourself. The neighbors are very friendly but give you privacy as well. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need and can easily accommodate 5 people. We had two adults and three teenagers and there was lots of room. The beach is simply amazing. It is shallow and sandy. There are tons of islands that can be explored. We brought a paddleboard and a canoe and spent many hours on the water. Every night, we had a campfire on the beach and watched the sunset. Breathtaking! We are counting down the days until we can go back again.
