| This cottage absolutely surpassed our expectations. David, the host, was incredibly easy to connect with and ensured we had access to all the information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The view is astounding, and there were plenty of rest areas placed strategically along the staircase leading down to the water so you could catch your breath while enjoying the beauty of Charleston Lake from every angle. Our kids, 8 & 5, spent hours in the water playing on the lilypad, kayaking and swimming. We explored islands, saw tons of wildlife (river otters, minks, foxes, eagles and osprey) and even managed to catch a few smallmouth bass right from the dock. While we spent most of our time outside, we appreciated access to the hot tub, air conditioner, satellite tv and the very comfy beds. We wanted for nothing during our stay here and left feeling rejuvenated. It was by far our best vacation to date, and we are counting down the days until our return next year.

| Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Charleston Lake Highland House and the experience exceeded all our expectations, it's truly a tranquil paradise. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the lake and the breathtaking view from the cottage's porch. Each morning, I enjoyed my coffee while gazing at the picturesque landscape and the tranquil lake. It was a perfect way to start the day and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
The cottage itself is a charming blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. It was evident that David had put thought into every detail, ensuring that guests feel right at home. We were provided with a list of nearby trails and attractions, which made exploring the area a breeze and was super responsive to any questions we had.
All in all, my stay at Charleston Lake Highland House was a slice of paradise. It offered the perfect blend of tranquillity, natural beauty, and outdoor activities. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast, a water lover, or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the bustle of everyday life, this cottage has it all. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonderful memories I made. I can't wait to return to this hidden gem!

| Our stay at the Highland House was nothing short of amazing! We have stayed there for two years now. The cottage is spacious and very clean. Equipped with everything you would need. The floating mat in the lake and larger dock are great additions to this amazing property. Lake views for miles! Memories will last a lifetime!

| We were so lucky to have found this place and because there was a cancellation we were quickly able to book! David is a fabulous host and this cottage is a real dream! It feels like you are living in the trees and looking out at paradise. The views are stunning, the water just mesmerizing and the whole area is truly beautiful. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly want or need. I am a very skilled homecook, we love to eat well so I made some elaborate meals during our stay and the cottage had everything I needed to make great meals. The BBQ is excellent quality, a high end Weber which made grilling very easy. There is also an extra fridge which really came in handy, we kept all the food in one and all the drinks in the other. The long and sometimes steep stairs to the dock might seem daunting but after doing them once it really was not challenging at all, it worked off all the food we ate ;) The hot tub is a great bonus, we enjoyed it every day while relaxing and looking out at those views. David was easy to reach and answered my questions right away. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation, we would love to come back one day.

| I wish I could give this gorgeous spot an eleven out of ten because it is that wonderful. Two canoes, three kayaks, warm silky water, and so many islands to explore around the lake. The rooms are spacious and sun-lit, and David was always prompt and helpful with all correspondence. I highly recommend this lovely home!
