| Beautiful cottage and it was the perfect size for our group with lots of sleeping/bedroom options for everyone. The owners were easy to work with and answered all our questions quickly. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen/living room combo was amazing as we do love to cook as a family. We loved the fire pit in the evenings and kayaking during the day.
The deck and the view are the stand out feature. Wow, we could not get over our beautiful this location is.
I will agree with the other reviewers that there are a lot of spiders but the location is perfect and secluded, that is a fair trade off in my opinion. Plus my niece loves spiders so we had a ton of fun all week. We would 100% stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends.

| Everything you need to know before renting this cottage:
- The ?bedroom? with the two queens is on the basement (ground level). It is open concept so not a lot of privacy from the other guests if you are down there. Very spacious though and there is a very nice bathroom on this floor as well. - The second floor has a bedroom with a bathroom right beside it... which also feels like the ?main? bathroom for the cottage. Our guests said it was hot... so bring a fan from home if you have one. - third bedroom is on the top floor - last bedroom is actually a private bunkie above the garage ? very nice for privacy and great breeze coming through both sides ? the guests will have to fight over this one!
The pros: - luxurious beds and private bedrooms - sunset and water views (amazing) - nice fire pit area - good sized fridge - huge deck with lots of seating
The cons: - Waterfront has very slippery rocks and is shallow pretty far out. There is definitely a risk of slips and falls if you aren't steady on your feet... or with kids. - LOTS OF SPIDERS WOW (hey, it's a cottage- but- be prepared) - the screen doors were a little rickety .. seems like they need to be fixed.. - if it is raining and you can't eat on the deck it is a little tight inside with a dinner table that only seats 4 - the neighbours are very close so you have to be inside by 11 so as not to disturb them, we felt nervous to even have a fire because we didn't want our voices to carry

| After a five hour drive, my friend, 50's and myself, 60's, were bathed in glorious sunset within the cottage. It was very uplifting. There was no need to find a window to see the sunset, the wall is glass with extra wide sliding doors to a "very roomy" deck sporting excellent lounging seats, couch, BBQ, table for at least eight if needed. A well thought out design. Kayaks, bon fire pit, firewood....a well equipped house right down to shampoo and heated floor. Parents can quickly view kids at the shore line from inside the cottage or deck if one needs this requirement. This is a comfortable house whether sleeping, on the couch or eating. All seating was carefully thought of. Paul was attentive and his website will list the myriad of items supplied...Netflix, etc. Two things to make note of. The reason you can see a billion stars? It is pretty much a light free zone...therefore, use a flashlight for traversing from the fire pit to the cottage at night. No use taking a fall in the pitch black and "almost" ruining your vacation like I did. Secondly, there were no face cloths, just hand towels and bath towels so just pack a couple if they are a definite part of your regime like they are mine. The five gallon water container freed us from carting up bottles of water. We stayed four nights. This is an excellent cottage and Paul was an excellent person to deal with.

| This is a lovely property with a beautiful view of Lake Huron. The cottage is very comfortable (but could use some extra wine glasses as there are only 4 and we were a group of 5).
I would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again.

| My family and I loved our stay at the Home of the Living Sunset. The sunset view from the deck/kitchen/living room is spectacular. It felt like such a luxury to be able to watch stunning sunsets each night from the comfort of the cottage, followed by star gazing at night on the patio.
The cottage is very well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Big thanks to Paul for always being super prompt to answer all my random questions when I was planning the trip.
I would definitely recommend the cottage to friends looking for a Tobermory getaway.
