Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Bernard, this lovely cottage is just the spot for a memorable vacation. Upon arrival, take in the new sunny, south facing windows, a deck for relaxing or dining and a spacious, screened sunroom overlooking the sparkling waters and any stresses and cares are sure to melt away.
Cedar Shores is located a short distance from the main highway, and not far from the town of Sundridge. Lake Bernard is known as the largest freshwater lake in the world that does not have any islands! It is also a great lake for trout and small-mouth bass fishing. This is a lovely lake for swimming, with a sandy bottom and gradual walk in -- the lake bottom is soft in some areas. The shallow entry is great for all ages children.
This unplugged and updated cottage is quite private and is well treed to provide summer shade. All on one level, the cottage has two bedrooms, with a queen-sized bed in each. There is a four-piece bathroom with bathtub. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher and the dining table in the living area seats four people. Relax by the fireplace in the living area, complete with satellite TV and DVD player. Cell reception can be spotty.
A southeast facing 10 x 20 ft. deck has Muskoka chairs, picnic table and a barbeque. The screened sunroom with its comfortable wicker/
resin furniture will soon become a favourite spot for relaxing and enjoying the view. From the cottage there is a sloped footpath to the lake. A 30 ft. dock leads out over the shallow water to where the lake is about four feet deep and gradually deeper. Swimmers will enjoy the sandy bottom, clean water and the all-day sun on the dock.
A canoe and two kayaks are provided for exploring the shores of the lake, while a fire-pit on the property will add to your outdoor enjoyment. Come and enjoy the fresh air of northern Ontario!
**Vacationer supplies their own linens: Sheets and pillowcases + Inside towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. Please inquire about other arrangements.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns
** Guests to bring firewood. Please purchase locally.
**5 night minimum in shoulder seasons.
