Sausage Lake, Trout Creek, Ontario
This traditional, comfy cottage with absolutely gorgeous views of beautiful Sausage Lake is about 15 minutes from the nearby town of Trout Creek. It is also not far from Powassan where you'll find some great local shops and restaurants to enjoy.
The cottage interior with open kitchen, dining and living space is finished in traditional tongue and groove pine, and outfitted with comfortable furniture to relax on overlooking the lake. Settle into a warm and inviting change of pace from the day to day bustle left behind.
The well equipped kitchen makes meal preparation easy and there are lots of places to enjoy a meal either inside or out. The lovely lakeside deck with shade canopy provides a relaxing spot to savour your morning coffee or grill up some sausages on the barbeque for a satisfying mid-day meal.
Three bedrooms are located off the living room. The first has a queen bed, the second has a queen and the third bedroom two sets of bunkbeds, a twin over twin and a twin over double. Along this corridor there is a four-piece bathroom.
A level, open, grassy area also on the lakeside, offers a large open fire pit, ideal for evening sing-alongs and star gazing.
At the water, the 4 by 16 foot dock is perfect for slipping into the beautiful sandy bottom lake. Sausage Lake is fairly quiet with very few motorboats, a place to enjoy a sense of peacefulness. There is approximately 125 feet of south facing shoreline. The water is about five feet deep at the end of the dock and the dock gets sun all day long. For the lake explorers in the group there is an aluminum boat, canoe, kayak and peddle boat! The best of summer is yours to enjoy! And if you like to shoot hops, don't forget your basketball!
