Overview:
Welcome to our old-school 2 bedroom cottage with 500 feet of clean, clear waterfront. Easily accessible by car, but on a totally private, tree filled 5 acre property. Lounge in the screened porch, light up the outdoor fire-pit, play games on the open lawn, or enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises over the nearby islands, all in total privacy. The waterfront offers a rock beach area with clear shallow entry, new dock, and kayaks and other water toys. The cottage has a master with a king size bed and another small bedroom with 2 twin beds. A separate bunkie with twin bunks can be made available to accommodate different sleeping arrangements. This cottage is ideal for one family or two couples to enjoy a nature filled, private, classic waterfront cottage experience.

Bedrooms:
The master bedroom has one King bed, while the 2nd bedroom has two twins. A separate Bunkie with bunk beds can be made available at a small extra cost to allow for several configurations to best suit your group. Fresh bed linens pillows, and down duvets are supplied.
Kitchen:
The charming kitchen includes a fridge, microwave and full-size range, but in true rustic cottage style there is no dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with essentials, including drip coffee maker, Nespresso machine and milk frother, kettle, toaster, blender, cutlery, bowls, dishes, etc. An additional bar fridge is in the screened porch. The cottage is on a well, and water is safe for cooking and bathing, but guests should bring water for drinking.
Dining:
The dining table in the screened porch ensures bug free dining. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed on the deck at the cottage or on the lawn in front of the cottage. The gas BBQ is also located in front of the cottage.
Living Room:
The bright rustic living room has comfortable furniture and a wood burning fireplace. A flat screen TV has no cable but is set up for DVDs with our collection of over 100 movies and tv shows.
Bathroom:
The cottage has one small bathroom with stand up shower. There is also an outdoor shower.
Screened Porch:
Two daybeds for lounging, a dining table and chairs, plus a bar fridge and amazing views of the nearby islands.
Outdoor Areas and waterfront:
Guests have private and sole use of the property and waterfront. A large open grass area sits in front of the cottage, offering both sunny and shady options. A firepit is available with firewood supplied, and nearby is the viewing deck stone patio area, with soaring views over the St Lawrence.
The property includes over 500 feet of private waterfront overlooking the beginning of the 1000 Islands. A 20-foot dock sits waterside, with shallow and gradual entry to the water, and a small rock beach area with shallow entry. A short swim out from the dock is a floating lily pad for lounging and jumping in deep water. There are several water toys to enjoy including an adult kayaks, children's kayaks, a paddleboard, pool noodles, floaties, etc. Whether by car, boat or paddle, the cottage is the perfect spot to begin exploring the Thousand Islands. Please note: There are several stairs that lead down to the waterfront, so this property may not be ideal for people with mobility issues.
Guests can also take advantage of access to adjacent 100 acres of private forest with over 5km of walking trails.

Hosts will greet guests upon arrival and provide information and a brief tour of the property. Hosts live nearby and are available by text throughout each stay.
Cleaning:
A cleaning crew cleans and disinfects the cottage for each stay, and linens, towels and duvet covers are sent out to be professionally cleaned after each visit. We ask guests to leave the cottage in good order and relatively tidy, but we will collect towels and linens from beds and do deep cleaning after each stay.
Pets:
Unfortunately, due to allergies the cottage is not pet friendly.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a true cottage experience, complete with the normal quirks of an authentic old-school Canadian cottage. If you are looking for new, modern, or builder boring accommodations, this is not your place. But if you're looking for an authentic cottage experience and a memorable escape to the outdoors, with spectacular natural surroundings and views, excellent waterfront, and the space and privacy to relax, you've found it!
