The Yellow Cottage is located on the prestigious Sandy Lake. This lake is known for its Turquoise Caribbean-like waters, no weeds, great for swimming and fishing. We offer kayaks, pedal boats and more water equipment. It's a true cottage feel with modern amenities. The original cabin was built in the 1940s and 2 additions were added later. The lot is heavily wooded with trilliums in the spring and a beautiful leaf-covered driveway in the fall. The view of the lake is priceless for breakfasts, days and nights.

***The Lake***
Sandy Lake is spring fed, quite shallow, and has a white sandy bottom (hence the name Sandy Lake). What makes this Lake so unique is its clarity and colour. On a sunny day, the water is a turquoise colour - you'd think you were in the Caribbean! Also, since the lake is shallow its great for kids, and warms up very early in the season.There is a beach within 1 min walk.
