| This cottage was the perfect place for our family to enjoy and relax the entire week. The kids absolutely loved the trampoline and being able to run around the front yard area. The cottage is clean, spacious and well equipped with all the essentials. We spent everyday down at the dock on the water using the pedal boat and kayaks provided. Any time I had a question I was able to get in touch with the host right away and she always responded within a few minutes which was so nice! My family and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a fun, beautiful and relaxing getaway!

| Our cottage stay was delightful! The space was clean, well-equipped with all amenities, and the trampoline kept the kids endlessly entertained. | We had a wonderful weekend. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The cottage is located in very private place with full of Maples around. Beautiful walkway to the water. Excellent interior design. BBQ, fire pit, kids play area..
The greatest thing was their way of communication, they were always there to answer all our questions. We forgot to take some of our kids clothes and they were kind enough to contact us and help us get it back.

| We booked that property for our New Year's celebration with the family and it was an amazing experience of Muskoka in winter. The cottage is newly renovated and has all amenities to stay with kids and older family members. There were 4 adults and two kids and everyone had a blast. The cottage is cozy yet spacious and views from bedrooms are stunning. Every morning we woke up surrounded by pine trees and blue sky visible thru many skylight windows. The cottage was clean and super warm! The kitchen was very well equipped! The host surprised us with a beautiful Christmas tree and dining room set up for the New Year's Celebration. This was a very sweet touch! The host was reachable almost instantly yet our privacy was very well respected. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and relatives and we can't wait to return there in summer to enjoy the lake and walks in the forest. Thank you for hosting us!!!!

| Beautifully renovated, poorly managed. This cottage has a lot of potential, unfortunately it is not kept well. You have to bring your own bedsheets and pillowcases, which was not told to me until a couple days before (says linens are provided in the contract). There was only a half tank of water left, the towels were supposedly all cleaned, but we had to wash them before using because they smelled like mold. Communication is also difficult with host, as you have to inquire about many things (there's no renters guide like other cottages, only a small one once you arrive to the house). Check in and check out was only told to me a couple days earlier and I had to ask about it directly. There were other miscellaneous items the previous renters left which makes me question if it was thoroughly cleaned/inspected before we got there. The sleeping arrangement and bathroom layout is also wrong. It's 2.5 not 3, it's 2 full bathrooms plus a small room with a toilet and sink. The small bathroom is also between the two rooms and there's no full wall separating them, so it's very loud when someone uses it. There's only 3 bedrooms, not 4. Two double beds in 1 room. 1 king bed and 1 double in another room (pic ture 12). And 2 doubles in the last room. I'm guessing the basement living room was labeled as another bedroom but there's only a couch (not pull-out) there. Could probably be much better in the future once it's managed better, i'm guessing this was their first winter open.

Owner response: Thank you for your feedback, you're absolutely correct: this was our first time renting out the cottage in the winter months. I wanted to address some of the points you've made to provide more context: 1. In the very first email I sent you after you made the booking, I mentioned that we will provide pillows and duvet, but NOT the pillowcases and linens. We only provide linens in the summertime if someone books a stay for a week or longer. You can double check that email in case you've missed it. 2. Regarding the water tank - the main water source for the cottage is the well. The cooler is a secondary option we have in case of an emergency, and it normally isn't used by ourselves, or tenants. 3. We take cleanliness and sanitation very seriously, and I can assure you the towels were washed and put through the drier before your visit. But we will make sure to go through each one of them again to check for any smell. 4. Before your check-in, we have talked through any questions you had in our email chain (around 30 emails). The check in time is also written in the contract. However, I gave you the advantage of checking in at an earlier time, and made sure to let you know this was an option 2 days in advance. 5. The website clearly states that this is a 3 + 1 bedrooms, and 2.5 washrooms (two bathrooms and one toilet). The basement is a separate space, and the sofa can be transformed into a Queen size bed, which you were also informed of in the email chain we had before your visit.
