| My family and I, we just had an exceptional week, the cottage is very clean and well equipped. The area has a lot trails very well marked near by, and some of them very challenging. Swimming in the river is little difficult because of the current but a good experience, kayaking and canoeing in Halls lake was great. Definitely we were able to enjoy and reconnect with nature here.

| We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was very clean and well appointed. There is a good variety of water sport equipment (kayaks, canoe, paddle board, inflatable tubes) that you can use to explore the river and lake. There are also lots of beautiful hikes both within walking distance of the cottage and within a short drive. Less than 1/2 hour drive to Minden and Haliburton, if you want to pick up groceries or visit a restaurant

| My husband and I stayed here July 23 to August 1st with 3 family members in their 20s. The cottage is clean, bright and comfortable and the river is very special. Swimming in the river is quite different from a lake due to the current but we thoroughly enjoyed the new experience. We also loved paddling and exploring in both directions, and sitting on the dock watching the water and wildlife go by. We took noodles or inner tubes up stream then floated back down - truly relaxing! Motor boats are rare and have to go slowly so it's much quieter than most lakes, and much of the bank is unspoiled. There's a small beach you can paddle to on Halls lake and great 5-6 km hiking trails nearby. Neighbouring houses on either side are fairly close but we only saw people twice in 9 days. We put seed in the feeders on the back deck and had a riot of birds, chipmunks and squirrels. Stars are beautiful from the river dock. Bev was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful week!
