Enjoy a quiet stay in a 3 bedroom ( + bunkie ), 4 season cottage on 170' of waterfront overlooking private flat rock shallow limestone on the south shores of crystal clear Lake Huron.. Then picture yourself relaxing in the hot tub under the stars nestled among trees on 1.3 acres. Steps from the Jacuzzi j445 hot tub get cozy by the firepit. On the property or nearby don't be surprised to see deer, rabbits, hummingbirds, blue jays and other wildlife. And fortunately not many bugs. The cottage features plenty of natural light and the kitchen is fully equipped with a stove/ oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, fridge, Keurig, electric kettle, ice maker, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, plus other Kitchen Aid appliances.
Indoors enjoy reliable Starlink satellite internet, Netflix and IPTV ( don't miss that favourite match or chill watching a movie ). At bedtime stretch out in your handcrafted solid wood queen beds or in the double bed. Want more room? Separate yourself in the cozy bunkie with a double bed 75' from the main cottage. Off the kitchen eat at the 6 person dining table overlooking the lake. Or relish your meals and drinks on the front or back deck. A Napoleon Prestige 500 bbq with a rotisserie is available with free propane. On the lake it is very quiet and rarely will one see a sea doo. Other features include a gas fireplace, front deck, rear walkout to the hot tub and a Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville machine.
Want some exercise/solitude? Hit a birdie at the badminton court, canoe, kayak, bike, challenge yourself at giant Jenga, play spikeball or throw horseshoes in the pit. For the family have fun playing board games or cards. One of these special features is Manitoulin's dark skies which offer incredible star gazing opportunities, free of the light pollution found in large urban areas.
We are on a quiet street that has zero tolerance for noise so this is not the place to have a party. Please respect our lovely neighbours. There is a by-law restricting noise after 11.
A 10 minute drive is the quaint town of Providence Bay boasting to be the best sandy beach in northern Ontario ( 1.8 km long ) . Enjoy ice cream, walk along the boardwalk or get some famous fish and chips at Lake Huron Fish and Chips.
20-30 minutes away is the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls, Kagawong's Boo-Bah-Lou vintage candy store, Perivale art gallery, Cup and Saucer hiking trail and Split Rail brewery of the waterfront town of Gore Bay. A grocery store is 17 minutes away. If you are into fishing take note that celebrity angler Bob Izumi stated "Manitoulin Island has a great multi-species fishery here that has lots of fish and lots of big fish." Perch, trout and whitefish are most common. If coming from the south consider taking the world renowned and exciting Chi- Cheemaun ferry. | This is simply the nicest cottage our family has ever stayed at in 50+ years of cottaging.
