Spacious, executive home, nestled in a forest of pines and birches in the Haliburton Highlands. Huge wraparound deck with amazing views of Miskwabi Lake and sunsets! The deck is securely enclosed for small children and features a new gazebo for shaded outdoor meals. Fresh clean northern air, sparkling clean lake, and all the conveniences of home! Great hiking trails through the forest! Summer activities include ATV trails, swimming, hiking, biking, relaxing on the deck, fishing off the dock, or using the PADDLE BOAT, 2 CANOES, FISHING ROWBOAT, and 2 KAYAKS included FREE for your pleasure, no extra charge. Excellent swimming from the dock in one of Haliburton's cleanest lakes. Fire pit for family campfires and smores! Golf and shopping nearby. Very well-equipped kitchen with new granite countertops. Four (4) large bedrooms with 3 queens, 2 doubles, 2 singles, and 1 crib. Three (3) full baths with new granite countertops including a master bedroom 4-piece en-suite. Radiant heat flooring on 2 levels and a propane fireplace to keep you warm on cool nights. New on-demand boiler hot water system. Water filtration system. A large family room with a flat-screen TV, DVD Player & 4 recliners just in case it rains. Lots of games are provided for family fun. WIFI & DVD included for free; all the conveniences of home. Storage shed next to the cottage and another at the water's edge for watercraft, life jackets, etc.
Winter activities include ice fishing, skating on the lake, downhill skiing at Sir Sams, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Please note that there is a low-traffic, local road separating the cottage and our private waterfront area.

| Pros:
- spacious layout that comfortably accommodated our two families (plenty of beds, indoor and outdoor seating, dining table, bathrooms, etc.)
- lake is amazing to swim in
- plenty of loons, blue jays, chipmunks
- lots of fire wood and great space for fires
- drinking water straight from tap
- dishwasher
Cons:
- dingy and dirty
- expectation that guests clean before check out (dusting, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, everything); it's hard to believe that professional cleaners came in before our arrival
- basement is damp and smells very musty
- no cable as advertised; tv isn't a smart tv so we couldn't even use it to stream
- only 3 working paddles for 2 canoes, 4th paddle was badly cracked and broke when we attempted to use it
- it's old and many things are in disrepair
- two broken pedal boats
- one unusable sliding door
- dirty sheets upon arrival (blood on one, markers on another)

Owner response: Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, our regular professional cleaner was unavailable, and the replacement sent did not meet our usual standards. While our policy is not to charge a cleaning fee, as we expect the guests to clean up after their stay, we have employed a professional cleaner to ensure everything is in top condition. We also ask all guests to bring their own bed sheets. Regarding the outdated items, we appreciate your comments and have already taken immediate steps to address them. As for the pedal boats, we discovered that only one of them is not functional, and we are taking action to have it fixed soon. | |

| Staying at the LOON LOOKOUT cottage in July was an absolute delight! The place was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, providing a cozy and quiet retreat. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
One of the highlights was the abundance of firewood provided ? way more than we expected, making our evenings by the fire even more enjoyable. The view from the cottage was stunning, offering a picturesque scene that we couldn't get enough of. The water was crystal clear, and though you had to cross the street to access it, it was well worth the short walk.
A small heads up: the mosquitoes were quite persistent despite our various prevention methods. Be prepared with plenty of repellent. However, this minor inconvenience didn't overshadow the overall wonderful experience we had.
We can't wait to return to this charming cottage and create more memories in such a beautiful setting. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway!

| I had the pleasure of staying here in July and it was truly a wonderful experience.
The cottage itself was beautifully appointed, with all the amenities one could ask for, including a cozy fireplace, comfortable furnishings, and a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to cook meals at home.
The real highlight of my stay was the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The view is incredible , we spent hours sitting in front of fireplace on the porch admiring the view, we also spent hours kayaking and swimming in the lake.
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The combination of comfortable accommodations, and stunning scenery make it a truly special place, and one that I hope to return to again and again.

| I had an incredible experience staying at this charming cottage! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The cottage itself was absolutely stunning, with gorgeous decor, comfortable furnishings, and all the amenities I could ever need.
The location was simply breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and easy access to nearby trails for hiking, boating and exploring. The peace and quiet of the area were a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The owner was an absolute delight to work with, providing helpful recommendations for local activities and ensuring my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
